Within a few years after graduation, our graduates will:
1. Apply the basic concepts, principles and theories that underlie each of the functional areas of business such as entrepreneurship, marketing,
accounting, finance, human resources management, production and operations management, information technology, and strategic management to
business situations;
2. Engage in life-long learning activities such as graduate studies and/or professional services and training;
3. Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility; and
4. Exercise high moral and ethical standards.

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course deals with agribusiness management, its meaning, nature and scope, types of management tasks and responsibilities and the factors that affect
management. Students should also be able to describe important considerations in starting an agri-based entrepreneurship and the types of agribusiness
structures and processes to agribusiness firms in their planning and operating in domestic and international markets.

CO 2 Define and explain the Philippine sustainable agriculture and how to achieve sustainability.
CO 3 Define and explain agribusiness management, discuss its scope and objectives.
CO 4 Identify important factors involved in selecting the best organizational form for an agribusiness.
CO 5 Understand the decision-making environment for agribusiness managers and describe the tasks of managers in planning, organizing,
directing, and controlling in agribusiness management.
CO 6 Explain various marketing strategies that agri-businesses can use in the context of marketing mix.
CO 7 Develop an understanding of operations management and discuss some of the unique characteristics of agricultural commodities and
products as they impact operations management and production planning.
CO 8 Understand organizational principles as they apply to the development of agribusiness organizational business.

VII. COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION CRITERIA


1. Students will be grouped and will be tasked to conduct an interview to a successful agripreneur in the province of Nueva Ecija. They must identify the key
factors how that person became successful and must be able to present the process or experiences their chosen agripreneur went through.
2. To experience an agricultural activity, the students will be required to submit their chosen home project with a corresponding reflection paper that contains
their insights and impressions of the activities.

3. Each student will be required to submit a personal action plan regarding the promotion of a sustainable agriculture in their community. The plan must be
realistic enough to bring impact to the target community. The Action plan will be presented at the end of the semester.

The minimum requirement for a passing grade is 75% from the following composition:

To compute for the Final Grade is: Tentative Final Grade multiplied by 2 + the Mid-term Grade divided by 3. Highest passing rate is 1.00 and the
lowest is 3.00. Failure to comply with any of aforementioned criteria means a failing grade of 5.00.
