ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
METHOD

Direct Term Tests  Besides the University examinations, two term tests are scheduled and conducted for 20 marks
per course to achieve the identified Cos.
Assessment
 Questions in the question paper are mapped to COs.
tools
 Corrected answer sheets are distributed to students and results are declared within three days after
the completion of the monthly test.
 Marks obtained by students are used to evaluate the attainment level of mapped Cos in the
question paper.

Laboratory Journals  At the beginning of each semester a detailed lab plan with a list of experiments, Cos mapped, and
execution dates will be prepared by subject in-charges.
 As per the schedule, the experiments will be conducted till the end of the semester.
 Subject in charges will follow the rubrics, which are set by the Department for evaluation of
laboratory programs.
 Marks obtained by each student for each experiment will be used to evaluate the attainment level
of that particular Cos.

11-03-2022 www.slrtce.in 43
CO Assessment Process
Assignments  As per the schedule, the assignment questions will be given to students with the submission date.
 Subject in charges will follow the rubrics, which are set by the Department for evaluation of assignments.
 Assignment works submitted by students are assessed towards the attainment of Cos
 At the beginning of each semester a detailed assignment plan with a list of assignments, Cos mapped, and submission date will
be prepared by subject in-charges.

Technical Quiz  Quiz questions are prepared and published for each module in the course.
 The quiz is conducted module-wise to test the knowledge of students.
 Correct answers to the quiz are discussed with students.
 Quiz marks are recorded for assessing the attainment of Cos of the course.
Mini Projects  It provides an opportunity to students to plan and organize a project in a team, over a given period, and to put into practice, the
techniques that have been taught.
 Subject in charges will follow the rubrics, which are set by the Department for evaluation of Mini Project.
 Presentation, Mini Project Report and product demonstration marks obtained by students are assessed towards the attainment of
Cos
Case Study  It provides an opportunity to students to plan and organize a case study on particular topic, over a given period
 Subject in charges will follow the rubrics, which are set by the Department for evaluation of case study.

End Semester University Exam  The total mark for the university exam is 80.
Examinations  The marks obtained for each course by each student from the university exam will be mapped and
used to evaluate all Cos of that course.
 At the end of each semester, university examinations will be conducted as per schedule for each
course.

 The total mark for the oral / practical will be given as specified in syllabus.
 The marks obtained for each course by each student from the oral/practical will be mapped and used
Oral / Practical to evaluate all Cos of that course.
 At the end of each semester, Oral / Practical examinations will be conducted as per schedule for
each course.

CO Assessment Process
 The final attainment of the subject will be calculated using following steps:
 Step 1: Calculate attainment of each CO using Direct tools(20% Internal Assessment + 80% End semester
