Place the upper casing on lower casing and adjust suitably to mark and
distribute allowances available in the lower casing for machining at
critical locations - parting plane and bottom surface.
Take reference of oil pipe axes for distribution of allowances.
Rotate the table and take fine cut on the bottom surface casing plates
with reference to parting plane.

a) Mill the bottom surface casing plates maintaining 690+0.1/0 mm with
sufficient allowance on parting plane.
Maintain surface flatness to be within 0.05 as per drwg.
See View-C
b) Mill the bottom surface maintaining the dimensions 110x120 on both
sides on both side plates as per drwg.
c) Take skin cut on slot areas on both side plates at 4 places (zone
C-2, C-4, C-8/9 and C-11), drill 4 x dia 17.5 holes to a depth of 42 mm
and tap 4 x M20 threads to depth of 36 mm as per drwg.
d) Machine 2 x 20(H7) (zone F-8 and F-11) and 2 x 20(H7) x 120+20 X
depth= 20(Zone E-9 and F-9) maintaining the coaxially and

Rotate the table to keep casing Parting Plane side towards spindle.
De-clamp and clamp to drill holes/machine surface as per drwg zones C-2
and C-5.
a) Mill and maintain dimension of 214 as per zone View-D.
b) Mark and drill 4 X dia 14 holes to a depth of 36 mm and tap 4 x M16
to depth of 30 mm on PCD 120.5 at 480mm from parting plane on Lube oil
inlet flange as per drwg.
c) Mark and drill 1xdia8.5 hole to depth of 20 and tap1xM10 to depth of
16 as per drwg.
Rotate the table by 180 degree and drill holes/machine surface as below

deep for dowels in combined assembly as per drwg.
Mark and drill 2 X dia 14 holes and then tap 2 X M16 thru for jacking
screw as per drwg.

1) Ensure blue matching of parting planes of upper and lower casing to
be within 80 %.
2) Assemble both casings using fasteners without the taper pins.
3) Check for any gap between the casings on the parting plane.
4) Ensure that surfaces are clean and without any burrs or high points.
Rotate the table, and move spindle to face bearing no. 21.

respect to casing axis. Maintain perpendicularity of 0.05mm wrt bore of
bearing no. 21 and surface flatness of 0.05mm as per drwg.
Move spindle by 505 within the limits of +0.1/-0.0.
Mill the cover face of bearing no. 12 to measure 553+0.2/0 with respect
to casing axis. Maintain perpendicularity of 0.05mm wrt bore of bearing
no. 12 and surface flatness of 0.05mm as per drwg.

Set the job facing high speed centerline axis, bearing no. 21 towards
spindle and clamp.

a) Bore dia 180 and counter bore dia 310+0.05/-0.0 in the side cover.
b) Bore dia 180 +0.04/-0.00 and counter bore dia 196 both inside and
outside to measure distance = 34.95 -0.01/-0.03 between the 2 counter
bores as per details-C.
c) Bore dia 200 +0.05/-0.00 in the bore of bearing no. 12 and also, make
groove of dia 230 to width=20mm.
Rotate the table by 180° facing bore dia 160 towards spindle. Check the
face out. Move spindle in the bore & check concentricity w.r.t. Machine
bore #22.
Indicate, drill & tap holes on cover face #11 as per view.

230.
b) Drill 12 x dia 10.2 & tap 12 x M12 to depth=24/20 equispaced on PCD
