QUESTIONS:
1. How do you consider yourself as a Teacher? Please explain.
a. Beginning b. Developing c. Proficient
> Ma’am Valencia said that according to RPMS or the Results-based Performance
Management system that the teacher 1 is considered Proficient teacher and the beginners are
those who undergo practice teaching, and development depends on how dedicated the teacher
into the teaching field. Moreover ma;am valencia also told as that there are newly hired
teacher but equipped to be mentor to everyone because of their credentials, competency and
professional growth such as finishing their masters and doctorate but because they are newly
hired they are mandatory to start in low position. However, ma’am valencia consider herself
as a proficient teacher because of the competency she have and the experience as well.

2. Which of the following have you given much considerations in your teaching? Why?
a. local setting, values, tradition and culture.
b. global scenario, international developments, 21st century skills
c. local knowledge, values, culture, 21st century skills, international developments.
> She said that when you are teaching local knowledge up to international are considered and
connected, as a teacher you don’t have to choose what specific knowledge or competency
you can impart to your students especially in Araling panlipunan subject you have to
contextualize the lessons from the local setting to country and to international setting as well
as you have to equipped your students in 21st-century skills. Thus, all of those considerations
are interrelated/ co-related when it comes to teaching the subject araling panlipunan and you
don’t have to choose any of those concepts because they are really needed in teaching.
3. Where you are teaching what do vou like most? (local or abroad) Why?
a. the learners b. the learning environment c. the pay
> Regarding her experience in thailand, The most thrilling aspect when it comes to their
education is more on teaching rather than paper works and all their needs when it comes to
Instructional materials was provided by the school, all you have to do is to request from their
staff/custodian. In other hand she choose to teach a pre-schooler 3-4 years of age and it
basically highlights independent learning and basic skills such as eating alone, tie their own
shoes, wearing their own socks and keep their own shoes in their cabinet, etc. however, there
are also subject like science but it is more on discoveries because the goal of education in
Thailand was to instill to the young learners the independency for them to be ready on to the
next level of their learning journey.

4. How do you consider yourself as a teacher? Please explain

> She sees herself as a local teacher, but when it comes to competency she is equipped
enough to keep up/compete globally.
5. If you have a chance to choose where to teach. Is it Philippines or Thailand?
> Salary wise of course in abroad but if it is fulfilment wise I choose my homeland.

> Based on the interview Being a glocal teacher is a vital and transformative role in the
modern educational landscape. By seamlessly integrating global perspectives into local
contexts, glocal teachers prepare students to become globally competent individuals while
remaining rooted in their local identities. Through their global awareness, cultural
competence, and contextual adaptability, glocal teachers bridge the gap between global and
local education, shaping the next generation of global citizens who can navigate diverse
environments and contribute meaningfully to the world.
2. Yes, the teacher we interviewed can be classified as a glocal teacher because based from
the interview, she is flexible and able to mold the learners to be unique and glocally
competitive by considering 21st century skills, local knowledge, values and cultures as well
as international development. She is also a teacher who is willing to sacrifice just to touch,
shape and transform ones life to be a better version of themselves.
