Job Position: Project Manager

Location: Khandwa (Khalwa Block), Madhya Pradesh

Organization Overview:
Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a non-profit organisation working with the mandate for a
humane social order based on truth, justice, freedom and equity. Established in 1960, IGSSS works for
development, capacity building and enlightenment of the vulnerable communities across the country
for their effective participation in development.

Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the programme implementation
including planning, execution, finance, monitoring, evaluation, human resource, hiring of resource
persons, liaisoning with Block, District and State Government Stakeholders, enhancing the
organization outreach and participation at district, state and national platforms.

The Position involves travel to the target villages based on the programmatic needs on time-to-time
basis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning

• Developing project and unit plans and strategies for efficient and effective implementation.
• Conceptualise budgeting and activities as per the project objectives and ensure approvals
from Donor and Supervisor for amendments and changes.
• Develop proposal and budget for renewal / expansions of the project and develop new
proposals as required

2. Thematic Guidance

• The project focus on livelihood development through FPOs and enterprises with focus on
moringa and millet products. The candidate has to provide thematic guidance on product
development, marketing and agriculture (moringa promotion).
• Development of business plans of the enterprises.

3. Financial Management

• Maintain and review monthly, quarterly and annual budget for the programme, as per the
approved budget, developing plans for any modification (if any needed/recommended) with
due consent from the line supervisor and donor representative.
• Review, Monitor and Support outflow along with finance person to ensure a consistent
tracking of expenditure, minimizing the variance and recommend/adopt cost effective
measures in programme implementation.
• Ensure adherence of organization’s finance manual are followed in all instance during the
programme tenure.
4. HR Management

• Ensure smooth selection and induction of staff as per the programme/project requirement.
• Recommend and organize trainings/orientations as and when required for the staff to
improve the capacity.
• Develop and Set Appraisal of assigned human resource as per the IGSSS performance
management system and HR policies.

5. Liaison

• Develop and Maintain positive engagement and convergence with external stakeholders
including government agencies.
• Ensure active participation at village, block and district level programmes.
• Ensure active participation of village level bodies developed during the programme tenure in
the block and district level consultation and workshops.

6. Implementation

• Ensure that all the programmatic activities in the district are implemented as per the
approved timelines ensuring the quality.
• Periodic Monitoring of Programme Progress and provides inputs to the assigned staff, if
necessary seek inputs from the line supervisor and thematic experts.

7. Reporting

• Development and Submission of Programme Progress reports offline and online as per the
donor reporting formats within the timelines and expected quality.
• Maintain verifiable MIS of the project data.
• Ensuring proactive visibility on organization social media handles through regular updates on
programmatic interventions and their initial impacts/outputs.

8. Administration

• Ensure effective maintenance and management of unit office as per the organization
operational guidelines.
• Ensure contract staff mobility payments, procurement of goods and services as per the
procurement guidelines.

Qualification & Experience:


• Post Graduate with advance degree in Social Science, Agriculture and Management.
• Minimum 03-05 year of experience in the field of development sector preferably in the field
of enterprises development, agriculture and watershed management.
• Experience in CSR funded project would be an advantage.
• Experience in Handling Field Teams of 10 – 12 people.
• Proficient in Computer Operations – Management of Data Analysis Files on Digital Platforms
and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Remuneration/Package/Benefits: Remuneration / Package / Benefits: Maximum limit up to
55000/- per month CTO based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law. In addition -
range of benefits including medicalinsurance, personal accident insurance, and opportunities for
further personal development.
