WHAT TO EXPECT

We often look at making changes or improvements to our

lives as these hugely magnificent changes that are so
profound and magical that they have 0 possibility to not
work out.

We come into it completely ready and prepared to flip

everything upside down and throw everything we deem
as ‘bad’ right out the window.

This sounds pretty incredible in theory, or in our minds –

But more often than not, does it not fuckin work with
practical application.

Maybe it works for a day, a few days or potentially on the

really rare occasions, a week.

But we tend to come to a pinnacle point where our drive

or motivation fades the fuck out and we are left feeling
disheartened and all sorts of confused as to why we
weren’t able to stick with it, again.

So what I’d like to do, is introduce you to some easy steps

for you to implement in your day to day to give you the
best fucking chance at positively changing your ways for
good.
STEP 1

Work out EXACTLY what

you want to achieve...
aking a positive change is all well and good, but you need to
actually map out what that looks like. You need to determine what
the exact outcome you want is.

Do this by physically writing in a notebook or pad, what it is you

EXACTLY want to achieve as an outcome. Remember that this is
YOUR outcome and you can make it look anyway you see fit.

Once you have an outcome, or target, you can then actually begin to
implement appropriate changes to your lifestyle.
With your outcome now identified, go over your typical day to day
habits and routine. Mark out what time you wake up, what and when
you eat throughout the day, when you start work, when you finish
work and what you do after work. Do you mindlessly scroll on your
phone while binging the new hot thing on Netflix immediately after
you finish, and what time you go to bed.
By looking over how you spend your typical day you can make
alterations to the things that are hindering you or holding you back
from attaining your desired outcome.

This could be things like, waking up earlier to create more time in

the day, planning meals so you spend less or eat less shit, starting a
hobby or something you’re interested in after work to avoid
mindless scrolling and going to bed at an appropriate time to
ensure you aren’t fucking yourself over the following day.
STEP 2

WHY do you want to achieve

your desired outcome?
he next thing you will need once you have your desired outcome
mapped out is your “Why”. This is what is going to fuel you through
the moments where everything feels too hard, or you have no
motivation to carry on.
Your “Why” is the reason in which you want to achieve your
outcome, and the stronger the “Why” the better the fuel source and
the more likely you are to achieve it. Take a good hard look at your
current position and determine exactly where you are at and how
you are feeling about it.
Really look inwards and identify exactly how you are feeling, if you
like feeling that way and if you are prepared to continue to feel that
way in the future. Tap into your emotions and take full advantage of
the power they can give you.
Take a look at the people around you too. Take them into
consideration when identifying your “Why”. Do you want to be better
to the people in your life? Do you want to be around longer with
them? Do you want to develop better relationships with them?
Your “Why” will come in different shapes, ways and power. It's YOUR
“Why” so YOU get to determine how big it is and how strong it is.
Ultimately, the more you can put into your why, the better the fuel
source will be.
Look at it like this... Your desired outcome is your destination. Your
daily habits and systems is the vehicle that will get you there. And
your "Why" is the fuel for your vehicle.
It's hard to travel somewhere if you don’t know where you’re going.
You won’t make it very far if your vehicle is shit and you certainly
won’t make the journey if your fuel source doesn’t allow it.
STEP 3

Managing Your Expectations

he expectations we set a lot of the time end up causing more harm
than they do good. We get too caught up with trying to achieve the
exact outcome we expect that we end up completely disregarding
other avenues of progress or achievement.

So, learning how to manage your expectations becomes paramount

when setting off on your journey of improvement.
Objectively, you want to essentially disregard all expectations that
you have set in your mind.

You have your target that you want to achieve, or your goal set. But,
don’t expect to achieve it or move towards it exactly how you would
expect too.

When you can shift your focus from the result or expectation of the
result and focus your attention on the journey and the process
instead, it basically opens you up to seeing and embracing more
avenues of progression.

And the more you can see yourself progressing, the more you will
access different variations of motivation to really push you through.
Now while these 3 points are key to you making
permanent change, they only work if you ACTUALLY take
action on them consistently and understand that things
take time.

You aren’t going to undo years of poor habits and choices

overnight.

So it’s important to remember that making a change is

going to take a consistent effort and potentially a
considerable amount of time.

Which might sound disheartening at first, but time is

always going to be moving forward.

So you may as well be moving forward positively with it,

instead of moving negatively against it.
After all, you only get 1 shot at life so you may as well
make it count.

Hopefully you were able to identify the missing piece that

you have needed to make a permanently positive change.
If you have any questions or need further help on any of
the points above, you can contact me via Instagram or

Goodluck.
