a) Digital Culture

A digital culture is a concept that describes how technology and the internet are shaping the way
that we interact as humans. It’s the way that we behave, think and communicate within society.
A digital culture is the product of the endless persuasive technology around us and the result of
disruptive technological innovation. Digital Culture refers to the beliefs, values, and behaviours
that shape how people interact with digital technology. It includes the norms and practices
around digital communication, social media, online content consumption, and other aspects of
digital life.

b) Digital Society

Digital Society refers to a society transformed by digital technology, including the internet,
social media, and other digital tools. It encompasses the social, cultural, and economic changes
arising from widespread digital connectivity and digital innovation. Digital society includes how
people interact with one another, the economy, and institutions through digital platforms and
channels.

Communication: Technology has made it easier for people to communicate with each other

a) How and/or why is the emotional health being impacted?

The pandemic impacts emotional health, so we can’t go out because the government lockdowns
the country. During this period, many people had mental health problems, like stress, anxiety,

nervousness, irritability, etc. Example, before the pandemic, most of the people spent their time
outside, out of the sudden they are being forced to stay home, so which might lead them to feel
stress and anxiety as they have to cut off all the outdoor activities.

Secondly, some of the people might feel depress becuz of the cut off of social activity. It is
because some of the people used to hang out with friends during their free time, but because of
the MCO all the people being forced to stay home and dun get to talk to people F2f as some of
the people are staying alone and their mind will come up a lot of unnecessary stuff. Some of the
people Once they get used to stay alone during pandemic without any communication, they
might feel social phobia when they have to go back to the society.

b) How effective is “eMotional Impact and Support”?

Online emotional impact and support can be very effective for Gen Z, because this generation is
used to using technology to communicate with people, and may easily receive online emotional
assistance. This implies that people can access support wherever and whenever they need it,
which can be important for those who might not have access to in-person assistance or who
would rather request assistance in an anonymous manner.

Besides that, Many Gen Zers indicated that their first step in managing behavioral-health
challenges was going to TikTok or Reddit for advice from other young people, following
therapists on Instagram, or downloading relevant apps. This reliance on social media may be
due, in part, to the provider shortages in many parts of the country

In addition, Online emotional support can provide a sense of connection and community for Gen
Z, who often feel isolated and lonely due to the pressures of social media and the fast-paced
nature of modern life. Online support groups and communities can help them feel less alone
and more supported.
