2. ANALYSIS AND OCCURRENCE RESULTANT CRITICALITY

2.1 ANALYSIS

BTK 6050 was conducting an RNP Approach for Runway 09 DPS, the FO acted as Pilot Flying. The aircraft
configuration for landing was Flaps 30 with an indicated landing weight of 54.1 tons and Vapp 140 kt (Vref+7kts).
During the approach, the wind condition was cross-headwind with a value of 16 kt. The aircraft crossed over the
threshold at 47ft RA with aircraft pitch attitude at +1.23°. At 23ft RA, the aircraft pitch attitude increased to +1.76°
and the Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) showed -560fpm. At 14ft RA, the aircraft pitch attitude increased to +2.81°
and the Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI) showed -448fpm. One second later, the aircraft made first contact with the
ground with pitch attitude showed +2.99°. resulted in a G value of 1.79G, with a total flare time of 3 seconds.

3. CONCLUSION
This event has been classified as a skill-based behavioral issue, specifically related to improper landing
technique and external factors, such as variable wind direction during that period. Flight crews are advised to
diligently monitor and formulate effective contingency plans based on potential risks associated with identified threats
and errors. A failure on the part of the flight crews to mitigate this situation could elevate the risk of abnormal runway
contact.

This safety information serves as a reminder to the flight crew about the dangers of complacency and
emphasizes the critical importance of strictly adhering to the appropriate techniques outlined in the company and
manufacturer manuals.
