System Installation Requirements 1

Introduction
Please read the instructions below before proceeding with the installation package for
any of the MOTOTRBO CPS, Tuner and AirTracer Applications available on the DVD kits
GMVN5141_. Be sure to carefully read all on-screen instructions during the installation.
The GMVN5141_ CPS, Tuner and AirTracer software CD is available for purchase and
the software applications and the relevant upgrades are free to download from Motorola
Online. The RDAC software CD GMVN5520_ is only available to purchase from
Motorola Online.

System Installation Requirements

All computer systems installing the available MOTOTRBO CPS, Tuner, AirTracer and
RDAC Applications must adhere to the following minimum requirements:
Operating Systems: (for installing MOTOTRBO RDAC, Tuner, AirTracer, or CPS
without Radio Management Server or Radio Management Device Programmer)
• Windows 8, Windows 8.1, 32-bit and 64-bit
• Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit and 64-bit
• Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit and 64-bit
Operating Systems: (for installing MOTOTRBO CPS with Radio Management Server
and Radio Management Device Programmer)
• Windows 8, Windows 8.1, 32-bit and 64-bit.
• Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional (SP 2 or higher) 32-bit and 64-bit
• Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 32-bit and 64-bit
Recommended Hardware Requirements:
• Processor: 2 GHz dual core or higher Pentium grade processor.
• Memory: 2 GB RAM.
• Aero capable graphics card with 128 MB graphics memory.
• 2 GB free hard disk space.
• USB Port for radio communication
• DVD-ROM for software installation.
Note: This configuration is required when working with large codeplugs.

 2 System Installation Requirements

Minimum Hardware Requirements:

• Processor: 1 GHz Pentium grade processor.
• Memory: 1 GB RAM free memory, excluding onboard graphics card memory usage.
• DirectX 9-class graphics.
• 250 MB minimum free hard disk space.
• USB Port for radio communication
• DVD-ROM for software installation
Note: If the PC does not meet the recommended configuration the CPS performance
may be degraded.
Minimum Software Requirements:
• Windows Internet Explorer 7 or later

Access Rights
• You need to have Administrator rights on the target computer in order to proceed with
any of the installations.

Customer Programming Software (CPS) Installation

Instructions
1. Unplug any devices that are connected to your computer.
2. Exit all the programs running on your computer.
3. Make sure that you are logged on as a user that has local administration rights to
your computer. You may enable UAC instead.
4. Insert the DVD into your DVD drive. If you have more than one DVD drive, use the
master DVD drive.
5. Wait for the auto-install program to start and follow the instructions on the screen. If
the auto-install program fails, navigate to Setup.exe on the DVD and double-click it.
6. On the first screen, you may see a language selection option where you can pick the
language that would be used for the rest of the install.

7. If so, select a language and then click on the Next button to proceed to the feature
selection screen.
8. To install only the CPS, please check the box that says MOTOTRBO Customer
Programming Software.

Note: If installing any of the Radio Management components, please see Radio
Management Installation Instructions on page 5.

9. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Note: It is required to reboot the machine if asked during the install process.

10. If security related messages come up during the install, Click 'OK' to proceed.

Radio Management Installation Instructions

Please follow the procedures below when installing all applications of Radio
Management (MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software, Radio Management
Server, and Radio Management Device Programmer).
1. If you are using a Windows 8 operating system, please see the Additional Installation
Instructions for Windows 8 section before installing.
2. If you are using a Hardened operating system, please see the Additional Installation
Instructions for Hardened Operating Systems section on page 7 before installing.
3. Unplug any devices that are connected to your computer.
4. Make sure there is no pending job in the Radio Management before proceeding with
the next installation step.
Note: You may check if there is a pending job by clicking File => Radio
Management… in CPS, and checking on the radio’s view table’s Job Status
column.
5. Exit all the programs running on your computer.
6. Make sure that you are logged on as a user that has local administration rights to
your computer. You may enable UAC instead.
7. Insert the DVD into your DVD drive. If you have more than one DVD drive, use the
master DVD drive.
8. Wait for the auto-install program to start and follow the instructions on the screen. If
the auto-install program fails, navigate to Setup.exe on the DVD and double-click it.
9. On the first screen, you may see a language selection option where you can pick the

Additional Installation Instructions

for Hardened Operating Systems
Before installing Radio Management, you must change certain permissions on Hardened
machines. Please follow these instructions to install on Hardened machines.
1. Give the user that will be running the installer the following privileges. These
permissions are required to install Microsoft SQL Server, which the Radio
Management Server requires to function. Also confirm that the user that will be
running the installer is an administrator.

Local Policy Object Display Name User Right

2. Install Radio Management as specified in the Radio Management Installation

Instructions section on page 5.
3. Revert the permissions back to the secure settings that were there before Step 1.

Tuner Installation Instructions

1. If you are using a Windows 8 operating system, please see the Additional Installation
Instructions for Windows 8 section before installing.
2. Unplug any MOTOTRBO devices that are connected to your computer.
3. Exit all the programs running on your computer.
4. Insert the Installation CD into the CD drive.
5. Select the Tuner option from the installation screen.

Note: If the installation application does not automatically launch, find the
Autorun.exe file on your CD-ROM and double click the file, and return to
Step 4.
6. Click Next when the Welcome screen appears.
7. Read the Software License Agreement before accepting.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
9. Once the Tuner installation is complete, proceed to install the MOTOTRBO driver
(see“Installing the MOTOTRBO Driver” on page 15), and set up the MOTOTRBO
local area connection (“Setting Up the MOTOTRBO Local Area Connection On Your
Computer” on page 16) on your computer.

AirTracer Installation Instructions

1. If you are using a Windows 8 operating system, please see the Additional Installation
Instructions for Windows 8 section before installing.
2. Unplug any MOTOTRBO devices that are connected to your computer.
3. Exit all the programs running on your computer.
4. Insert the Installation CD into the CD drive.
5. Select the AirTracer option from the installation screen.

Note: If the installation application does not automatically launch, find the
Autorun.exe file on your CD-ROM and double click the file, and return to
Step 4.
6. Click Next when the Welcome screen appears.
7. Read the Software License Agreement before accepting.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
9. Once the AirTracer installation is complete, proceed to install the MOTOTRBO driver
(see “Installing the MOTOTRBO Driver” on page 15), and set up the MOTOTRBO
local area connection (see “Setting Up the MOTOTRBO Local Area Connection On
Your Computer” on page 16) on your computer.

Repeater Diagnostics and Control (RDAC)

Installation Instructions
1. If you are using a Windows 8 operating system, please see the Additional Installation
Instructions for Windows 8 section before installing.
2. Unplug any MOTOTRBO devices that are connected to your computer.
3. Exit all the programs running on your computer.
4. Insert the Installation CD into the CD drive.
5. Select the RDAC option from the installation screen.
Note: If the installation application does not automatically launch, find the
Autorun.exe file on your CD-ROM and double click the file, and return to
Step 4.
6. Click Next when the Welcome screen appears.
7. Read the Software License Agreement before accepting.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
9. Once the RDAC installation is complete, if the RDAC is required to connect to a
repeater via the USB port, then proceed to install the MOTOTRBO driver (see
“Installing the MOTOTRBO Driver” on page 15), and set up the MOTOTRBO local
area connection on your computer (see “Setting Up the MOTOTRBO Local Area
Connection On Your Computer” on page 16).However, if the RDAC is required to
connect to an IP backbone via the Ethernet port, then the local area connection on
the computer needs to be set up accordingly to ensure that the correct IP address
and subnet parameters are assigned.

Troubleshooting with Installation

Windows Installer Issues
If the Windows Installer is not present on your computer system, an error message is
seen, as shown below.

To resolve this problem, exit the installation and follow the steps below.

On Microsoft® Windows® Operating Systems

1. Ensure your computer system adheres to the minimum system requirements. See
“System Installation Requirements” on page 1.
2. If your system is not running Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3, download and install
Service Pack 3 from Microsoft.
3. Run the CPS/RDAC/AirTracer/Tuner Installation again.

Windows Update Issues

If Windows Update is not enabled on your Windows Vista or later computer, the Radio
Management Server installation may not be able to install the Windows Identity
Foundation, which may cause the installation to fail.
To resolve the problem, exit the installation and follow the steps below.

On Microsoft® Windows® 7 and Later Operating Systems

1. Go to Control Panel => System and Security => Windows Update and choose one of
the options other than “Never check for updates”.
2. Go to the Microsoft page at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043 and follow the
steps to fully re-enable Windows Update.
3. Run the installation again.

Silent Installation Instructions

When installing MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software, RM Server, RM Device
Programmer, RM Job Processor, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC, or
MOTOTRBO Tuner, you can choose to use the silent installation interface instead of the
standard one. This allows installation of the applications without user interaction, and
makes it easier to deploy them to large numbers of workstations.
To run the installer silently, please follow the following instructions:
1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator (right-click on “Run As
Administrator” in Windows 7 and higher).
2. Navigate to the location of the installer using the cd command.
3. Run the appropriate command from the table below. Please note that the
Feature1,Feature2 parameters should be replaced with a list of the actual
features that you want to install from the feature list below. If applicable, please also
replace C:\log.txt with the full path where you would like the log file to be saved.

Additional Installation Instructions for Windows 8

Before installing Radio Management, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC, or
MOTOTRBO Tuner on Windows 8 operating systems, you must first enable the .NET
Framework 3.5 Windows feature by following the steps below.
If your computer has access to the Internet:
1. Go to the Desktop.
2. Open Settings => Control Panel.
3. Go to Programs => Uninstall a program.
4. Choose “Turn Windows features on or off” from the left panel.
5. Check “.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”.
6. Click on the OK button.

If your computer does not have access to the Internet:

1. Insert the Windows DVD into your computer’s DVD drive.
2. Go to the Start screen.
3. Right-click on the screen and choose “All apps”.
4. Scroll to the right until you see Windows System => Command Prompt.
5. Right-click on Command Prompt and choose “Run as Administrator”.
6. Enter “DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /
LimitAccess /Source:<DVD_Drive>:\sources\sxs”, where <DVD_Drive>
is replaced with the drive that contains the Windows DVD, then press Enter.
7. After the operation completes, close Command Prompt.

Installing the MOTOTRBO Driver

The MOTOTRBO driver must be installed once for the MOTOTRBO portable and once
for the MOTOTRBO mobile to enable communications with the radio via the USB port
using the CPS, Tuner or AirTracer applications. Additionally, if the RDAC application is
required to connect to a repeater via the USB port, then the MOTOTRBO driver must
also be installed once for the MOTOTRBO repeater.

On Microsoft® Windows® 7 Professional (32-bit/64-bit)/

Home Premium (32-bit/64-bit) Operating System
To install the MOTOTRBO driver:
1. Exit all the MOTOTRBO programs running on your computer.
2. Connect the programming cable to the radio, then connect the programming cable to
the USB port on your computer. Turn on the radio.
3. The Driver Software Installation window appears automatically. The installation is
complete. Click Close.

Setting Up the MOTOTRBO Local Area Connection

On Your Computer
To set up the MOTOTRBO Local Area Connection:
1. Click Start => Settings => Network Connection,
or Start => Control Panel => Network Connection, and select Open.
2. Select View => Details in the menu.
3. Double-click on the Network Connection named “Local Area Connection” which has
the Device Name “MOTOTRBO Radio”.
Note: You might have more than one Local Area Connection active on your machine.
Please ensure that you have selected the right one.

5. Uncheck all the checkboxes EXCEPT for “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”.

Select “Show icon in notification area when connected” and “Notify me when this
connection has limited or no connectivity”.
Note: The “Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity” option may
not be available on all machines.

6. Click OK.
You have now completed the setup for the MOTOTRBO Local Area Connection.

Installing the FlashZap Driver

This driver must be installed to enable the CPS’s device update or recover feature to
communicate with the radio in FlashZap/boot mode. The driver installation starts
automatically the first time the device update or recover feature is used.

On Microsoft® Windows® 7 Professional (32-bit/64-bit)/

Home Premium (32-bit/64-bit) Operating System
To install the FlashZap driver:
1. Exit all the MOTOTRBO programs running on your computer.
2. Connect the programming cable to the radio, then connect the programming cable to
the USB port on your computer. Turn on the radio.
3. The Driver Software Installation window appears automatically. The installation is
complete. Click Close.

Retrieving the Firmware and Codeplug Update Package

To retrieve the firmware and codeplug update package:
1. Launch your web browser.
2. Log on to Motorola Online website https://emeaonline.motorolasolutions.com/ (EMEA
region) or https://asiaonline.motorolasolutions.com/ (ANZ region) to search and
download the latest firmware and codeplug update package.
3. The upgrade packages on MOL are executable files. Follow the instructions on the
Hardware Installation Wizard in order to install the packages.

Alle Computersysteme, auf denen die verfügbaren MOTOTRBO CCPS-, Tuner-,
AirTracer- und RDAC-Anwendungen installiert werden, müssen die folgenden
Mindestanforderungen erfüllen:

Customer Programming Software CPS) –

Installationsanweisungen
1. Trennen Sie alle Geräte, die mit Ihrem Computer verbunden sind.

Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm. Wenn die automatische Installation scheitert,
navigieren Sie zu Setup.exe auf der DVD, und doppelklicken Sie auf die Datei.
6. Im ersten Bildschirm wird möglicherweise eine Sprachauswahl angezeigt, bei der die
Sprache für die Installation gewählt werden kann.

7. Wenn das der Fall ist, wählen Sie eine Sprache aus, und klicken Sie auf „Weiter“,
um zum Bildschirm der Funktionsauswahl zu gelangen.
8. So installieren Sie nur die CPS: Aktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen für die
MOTOTRBO-Software für die kundenseitige Programmierung.

9. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm, um die Installation fertig zu stellen.
Hinweis: Sie müssen den Computer neu starten, falls Sie während der Installation
dazu aufgefordert werden.

10. Wenn sicherheitsrelevante Meldungen während der Installation angezeigt werden,

klicken Sie zum Fortfahren auf „OK“.

Zusätzliche Installationsanweisungen für abgesicherte

Betriebssysteme
Vor der Installation von Radio Management müssen bestimmte Berechtigungen auf
abgesicherten Rechnern geändert werden. Befolgen Sie die folgenden Anweisungen zur
Installation auf abgesicherten Rechnern.
1. Übertragen Sie dem Benutzer, der das Installationsprogramm ausführt, die folgenden
Berechtigungen. Die Berechtigungen sind zur Installation von Microsoft SQL Server
erforderlich; diese Komponente benötigt der Radio Management-Server. Bestätigen
Sie zudem, dass der Benutzer, der das Installationsprogramm ausführt, ein
Administrator ist.

9. Sobald die RDAC-Installation vollständig ist und RDAC eine Verbindung zu einem
Repeater über den USB-Anschluss fordert, fahren Sie mit der Installation des
MOTOTRBO-Treibers fort (siehe „Installieren des MOTOTRBO-Treibers“ auf
Seite 15), und richten Sie die MOTOTRBO LAN-Verbindung auf Ihrem Computer
(siehe „Einrichten der MOTOTRBO LAN-Verbindung auf Ihrem Computer“ auf
Seite 16) ein. Wenn jedoch RDAC eine Verbindung zu einem IP-Backbone über den
Ethernet-Port fordert, muss die LAN-Verbindung auf dem Computer entsprechend
eingerichtet werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die richtige IP-Adresse und Subnetzmaske-
Parameter zugeordnet sind.

Fehlerbehebung bei der Installation

Probleme mit dem Windows Installer
Wenn der Windows Installer nicht auf Ihrem Computersystem vorhanden ist, wird eine
Fehlermeldung, wie unten dargestellt, angezeigt.

Um dieses Problem zu beheben, beenden Sie die Installation, und führen Sie die
folgenden Schritte aus.

Auf Microsoft® Windows® Betriebssystemen

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Computersystem die Mindestsystemanforderungen erfüllt.
Siehe „Systemanforderungen für die Installation“ auf Seite 1.
2. Wenn das System nicht mit Service Pack 2 oder Service Pack 3 läuft, laden Sie
Service Pack 3 von Microsoft herunter, und installieren Sie es.
3. Führen Sie die CPS-/RDAC-/Tuner-/AirTracer-Installation erneut aus.

Probleme mit Windows Update

Wenn Windows Update nicht auf Ihrem Computer mit Windows Vista oder höher aktiviert
ist, kann die Installation des Funkverwaltungs-Servers möglicherweise die Windows
Identity Foundation nicht installieren, wodurch die Installation fehlschlagen könnte.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben, beenden Sie die Installation, und befolgen Sie die
nachfolgenden Schritte.

Auf Microsoft® Windows® 7 und späteren Betriebssystemen

1. Gehen Sie zu „Systemsteuerung“ => „System und Sicherheit“ => „Windows Update“,
und wählen Sie eine andere Option als „Nie auf Updates überprüfen“ aus.
2. Gehen Sie zur Microsoft-Seite unter http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043, und
führen Sie die folgenden Schritte aus, um Windows Update wieder vollständig zu
aktivieren.
3. Starten Sie die Installation erneut.

Anweisungen für eine automatische Installation

Bei der Installation von MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software (CPS), RM
Server, RM Device Programmer, RM Job Processor, MOTOTRBO AirTracer,
MOTOTRBO RDAC oder MOTOTRBO Tuner können Sie die Schnittstelle für die
automatische Installation anstatt der Standardinstallation auswählen. Diese ermöglicht
die Installation der Anwendungen ohne Eingreifen des Benutzers und erleichtert so ihre
Implementierung auf eine große Anzahl von Workstations.
Um die Installation automatisch durchzuführen, führen Sie folgende Schritte aus:
1. Öffnen Sie die „Eingabeaufforderung“ als Administrator (klicken Sie in Windows 7
und höher mit der rechten Maustaste auf „Als Administrator ausführen“).
2. Navigieren Sie mithilfe des CD-Befehls zum Speicherort des Installers.
3. Führen Sie die entsprechenden Befehle aus der Tabelle unten aus. Bitte beachten
Sie, dass die Parameter Funktion1 und Funktion2 mit einer Liste der
tatsächlichen Funktionen, die Sie aus der unten stehenden Funktionsliste installieren
möchten, ersetzt werden sollten. Ersetzen Sie nach Möglichkeit auch C:\log.txt
durch den vollständigen Pfad, in dem die Protokolldatei gespeichert werden soll.

Zusätzliche Installationsanweisungen für Windows 8

Vor der Installation der Funkverwaltung, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC
oder MOTOTRBO Tuner unter Windows 8-Betriebssystemen müssen Sie zuerst die
Windowsfunktion .NET Framework 3.5 aktivieren. Gehen Sie dabei wie folgt vor.
Wenn Ihr Computer mit dem Internet verbunden ist:
1. Gehen Sie zum Desktop.
2. Öffnen Sie „Einstellungen“ => „Systemsteuerung.“
3. Gehen Sie zu „Programme“ => „Programm deinstallieren“.
4. Wählen Sie „Windows-Funktionen aktivieren oder deaktivieren“ aus dem linken
Bereich aus.
5. Aktivieren Sie das Kontrollkästchen „.NET Framework 3.5 (einschließlich .NET 2.0
und 3.0)“.
6. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche „OK“.

Wenn Ihr Computer nicht mit dem Internet verbunden ist:

1. Legen Sie die Windows-DVD in das DVD-Laufwerk des Computers ein.
2. Gehen Sie zum Startbildschirm.
3. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf den Bildschirm, und wählen Sie „Alle
Anwendungen“ aus.
4. Blättern Sie nach rechts, bis „Windows System => Eingabeaufforderung“ angezeigt
wird.
5. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf „Eingabeaufforderung“, und wählen Sie
„Als Administrator ausführen“ aus.
6. Geben Sie „DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All
/ LimitAccess /Source:<DVD_Drive>:\sources\sxs“ dort ein, wo
<DVD_Drive> mit dem Laufwerk ersetzt wird, auf dem sich die Windows-DVD
befindet, und drücken Sie dann die Eingabetaste.
7. Wenn der Vorgang abgeschlossen ist, schließen Sie die Eingabeaufforderung.

Installieren des MOTOTRBO-Treibers

Der MOTOTRBO-Treiber muss installiert sein, sowohl für das tragbare MOTOTRBO als
auch für das mobile MOTOTRBO, um die Datenübertragung mit dem Funkgerät über
den USB-Anschluss mit CPS, Tuner oder AirTracer-Anwendungen zu ermöglichen.
Wenn die RDAC-Anwendung eine Verbindung zu einem Repeater über den USB-
Anschluss fordert, muss der MOTOTRBO-Treiber ebenso für den MOTOTRBO
Repeater installiert werden.

Auf dem Betriebssystem Microsoft® Windows® 7 Professional (32-Bit/

64-Bit)/Home Premium (32-Bit/64-Bit)
So installieren Sie den MOTOTRBO-Treiber:
1. Beenden Sie alle MOTOTRBO-Programme, die auf dem Computer ausgeführt
werden.
2. Schließen Sie das Programmierkabel an das Funkgerät an, schließen Sie dann das
Programmierkabel an den USB-Anschluss Ihres Computers an. Schalten Sie das
Gerät ein.
3. Das Fenster der Treibersoftwareinstallation wird automatisch angezeigt.
Die Installation ist abgeschlossen. Klicken Sie auf „Schließen“.

5. Deaktivieren Sie alle Kontrollkästchen außer „Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)“.

Wählen Sie „Symbol im Infobereich anzeigen“ und „Benachrichtigen, wenn diese
Verbindung eingeschränkte oder keine Konnektivität besitzt“.
Hinweis: Die Option „Benachrichtigen, wenn diese Verbindung eingeschränkte oder
keine Konnektivität besitzt“ ist möglicherweise nicht auf allen Maschinen
verfügbar.

6. Klicken Sie auf OK.

Sie sind nun am Ende des Setup für die MOTOTRBO LAN-Verbindung.

Dieser Treiber muss zur Aktivierung der CPS-Funktion Gerät aktualisieren oder
Wiederherstellen installiert sein, um die Kommunikation mit der Netzverbindung im
FlashZap/Startmodus zu ermöglichen. Die Installation des Treibers beginnt automatisch
beim ersten Aufruf der Funktion Gerät aktualisieren oder Wiederherstellen.

So installieren Sie den FlashZap-Treiber:
1. Beenden Sie alle MOTOTRBO-Programme, die auf dem Computer ausgeführt
werden.
2. Schließen Sie das Programmierkabel an das Funkgerät an, schließen Sie dann das
Programmierkabel an den USB-Anschluss Ihres Computers an. Schalten Sie das
Gerät ein.

Lisez les instructions ci-dessous avant de procéder à l'installation d'une des applications
MOTOTRBO (CPS, Tuner et AirTracer) disponibles sur les CD GMVN5141_. Assurez-
vous de lire attentivement les instructions qui s'affichent à l'écran lors de l'installation.
Le CD des logiciels CPS, Tuner et AirTracer GMVN5141_ est disponible à l'achat. Les
applications logicielles et les mises à niveau sont téléchargeables gratuitement depuis
Motorola Online. Le CD du logiciel RDAC GMVN5520_ est disponible à l'achat
uniquement depuis Motorola Online.

Instructions d'installation de CPS

(Customer Programming Software)
1. Débranchez les appareils connectés à votre ordinateur.
2. Fermez tous les programmes en cours d'exécution sur votre ordinateur.
3. Vérifiez que vous êtes connecté en tant qu'utilisateur disposant des droits
d'administrateur locaux sur votre ordinateur. Vous pouvez activer l'UAC.
4. Insérez le DVD dans le lecteur de DVD. Si vous avez plusieurs lecteurs de DVD,
utilisez le lecteur principal.
5. Attendez que le programme d'installation automatique se lance, puis suivez les
instructions à l'écran. Si le programme d'installation automatique échoue, accédez au
fichier Setup.exe sur le DVD et double-cliquez sur l'icône.
6. Le premier écran peut afficher une option de sélection de langue. Celle-ci vous
permet de sélectionner la langue à utiliser pour la suite de l'installation.

7. Si elle s'affiche, sélectionnez une langue, puis cliquez sur le bouton Suivant pour
passer à l'écran de sélection de fonctions.
8. Pour installer uniquement CPS, cochez la case MOTOTRBO Customer Programming
Software.

Avant d'installer Radio Management, vous devez modifier certaines autorisations sur les
ordinateurs renforcés. Suivez les instructions ci-dessous pour procéder à l'installation
sur des ordinateurs renforcés.
1. Attribuez les privilèges suivants à l'utilisateur qui exécutera le programme
d'installation. Ces autorisations sont requises pour installer Microsoft SQL Server,
nécessaire au fonctionnement de Radio Management Server. Vérifiez également que
l'utilisateur qui exécutera le programme d'installation est un administrateur.

MOTOTRBO sur votre ordinateur » à la page 16). Cependant, si RDAC doit se
connecter à une dorsale IP via le port Ethernet, la connexion locale de votre
ordinateur requiert une configuration adéquate pour garantir que les paramètres
d'adresse IP et de sous-réseau sont corrects.

Dépannage lors de l'installation

Problèmes relatifs à Windows Installer
Si Windows Installer ne se trouve pas sur votre système informatique, un message
d'erreur apparaît comme indiqué ci-dessous.

Pour résoudre ce problème, quittez l'installation et suivez les étapes ci-dessous.

Sous les systèmes d'exploitation Microsoft® Windows®

1. Assurez-vous que votre ordinateur a la configuration minimale requise. Voir
« Configuration requise pour l'installation du système » à la page 1.
2. Si votre système ne comporte pas le Service Pack 2 ou le Service Pack 3,
téléchargez et installez le Service Pack 3 depuis le site Web de Microsoft.
3. Exécutez l'installation de CPS/RDAC/Tuner/AirTracer.

Questions sur Windows Update

Si Windows Update n'est pas activé sur votre système d'exploitation Windows Vista ou
sur une version ultérieure, l'installation du serveur de gestion de la radio peut ne pas être
en mesure d'installer Windows Identity Foundation, ce qui peut provoquer l'échec de
l'installation.
Pour résoudre le problème, quittez l'installation et suivez les étapes ci-dessous.

Sous Microsoft® Windows® 7 et systèmes d'exploitation ultérieurs

1. Accédez à Panneau de configuration > Système et sécurité > Windows Update, puis
sélectionnez l'une des options, à l'exception de l'option « Ne jamais rechercher les
mises à jour ».
2. Accédez à la page Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043 et suivez les
étapes pour réactiver complètement Windows Update.
3. Lancez à nouveau l'installation.

Instructions d'installation en mode silencieux

Lors de l'installation de MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software, RM Server, RM
Device Programmer, RM Job Processor, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC ou
MOTOTRBO Tuner, vous pouvez choisir de procéder à une installation en mode
silencieux au lieu d'une installation standard. Cela permet l’installation des applications
sans intervention de l'utilisateur et facilite leur déploiement sur un nombre important de
postes de travail.
Pour exécuter le programme d'installation en mode silencieux, veuillez suivre les
instructions ci-dessous :
1. Ouvrez l'invite de commandes en tant qu'administrateur (faites un clic droit sur
« Exécuter en tant qu'administrateur » sous Windows 7 ou une version supérieure
de Windows).
2. Accédez à l'emplacement du programme d'installation en utilisant la commande cd.
3. Exécutez la commande adaptée dans le tableau ci-dessous. Veuillez noter que les
paramètres Feature1, Feature2 doivent être remplacés par une liste des
fonctionnalités que vous souhaitez installer parmi les fonctionnalités ci-dessous. Le
cas échéant, veuillez remplacer également C:\log.txt par le chemin complet où

Avant d'installer les applications Radio Management, MOTOTRBO AirTracer,
MOTOTRBO RDAC ou MOTOTRBO Tuner sous Windows 8, vous devez activer la
fonctionnalité .NET Framework 3.5 Windows en suivant les étapes ci-dessous.
Si votre ordinateur dispose d'une connexion Internet :
1. Accédez à votre Bureau.
2. Ouvrez Paramètres > Panneau de configuration.
3. Accédez à Programmes > Désinstaller un programme.
4. Dans le panneau de gauche, sélectionnez « Activer ou désactiver des fonctionnalités
Windows ».
5. Vérifiez la présence de « .NET Framework 3.5 (avec .NET 2.0 et 3.0) ».
6. Cliquez sur le bouton OK.

Si votre ordinateur ne dispose pas d'une connexion Internet :

1. Insérez le DVD Windows dans le lecteur de DVD de votre ordinateur.
2. Accédez à l'écran Démarrer.

Installation du pilote MOTOTRBO

Le pilote MOTOTRBO doit être installé une fois pour la radio portable MOTOTRBO et
une fois pour la radio mobile MOTOTRBO afin de permettre la communication avec la
radio via le port USB à l'aide des applications CPS, Tuner ou AirTracer. De plus, si cette
application est nécessaire à la connexion à un répéteur via le port USB, le pilote
MOTOTRBO doit également être installé une fois pour le répéteur MOTOTRBO.

1. Cliquez sur Démarrer => Paramètres => Connexion réseau

Ce pilote doit être installé pour activer la fonction de mise à jour ou de récupération de

Introducción
Lea las instrucciones que se indican a continuación antes de continuar con el paquete
de instalación de cualquiera de las aplicaciones MOTOTRBO CPS, Sintonizador y
AirTracer disponibles en los kits de CD GMVN5141_. Asegúrese de leer atentamente
todas las instrucciones que aparezcan en pantalla durante la instalación.
El CD de software GMVN5141_CPS, Sintonizador y AirTracer está disponible para su
compra y las aplicaciones de software y las actualizaciones correspondientes se pueden
descargar gratuitamente de Motorola Online. El CD de software RDAC GMVN5520_
sólo se puede adquirir de Motorola Online.

Instrucciones de instalación adicionales

para sistemas operativos reforzados
Antes de instalar Radio Management, debe cambiar determinados permisos en los
equipos reforzados. Siga estas instrucciones para instalaciones en equipos reforzados.
1. Proporcione los siguientes privilegios al usuario que vaya a ejecutar el programa de
instalación. Estos permisos son necesarios para instalar Microsoft SQL Server, que a
su vez es necesario para que Radio Management Server funcione correctamente.
Compruebe también que el usuario que ejecutará el programa de instalación es un
administrador.

para conectarse a un repetidor a través del puerto USB, proceda a instalar el
controlador MOTOTRBO (consulte “Instalación del controlador MOTOTRBO” en la
página 15) y configure la conexión de área local MOTOTRBO en el equipo (véase
“Configuración de la conexión de área local MOTOTRBO en el equipo” en la
página 16). Sin embargo, si RDAC es necesario para conectarse a una IP troncal a
través del puerto Ethernet, la conexión de área local del equipo deberá configurarse
de forma tal que garantice la asignación correcta de los parámetros de subred y
dirección IP.

Solución de problemas de instalación

Problemas de Windows Installer
Si el programa de instalación de Windows no está presente en el sistema del equipo,
aparecerá un mensaje de error como el que se muestra a continuación.

Para solucionar este problema, salga de la instalación y siga estos pasos.

En sistemas operativos Microsoft® Windows®

1. Asegúrese de que el sistema se ajusta a los requisitos mínimos. Consulte
“Requisitos de instalación del sistema” en la página 1.
2. Si el sistema no dispone de Service Pack 2 o Service Pack 3, descargue e instale
Service Pack 3 de Microsoft.
3. Ejecute de nuevo la instalación de PC/RDAC/Sintonizador/AirTracer.

Problemas de Windows
Si Windows Update no está habilitado en el equipo con Windows Vista o posterior, es
posible que la instalación de Radio Management Server no pueda instalar Windows
Identity Foundation, lo que puede ocasionar errores en la instalación.
Para resolver el problema, salga de la instalación y siga los pasos que se describen a
continuación.

En sistemas operativos Microsoft® Windows® 7 y posteriores

1. Vaya a Panel de control => Sistema y seguridad => Windows Update y seleccione
una de las opciones que no sea para no buscar nunca actualizaciones.
2. Vaya a la página de Microsoft en http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043 y siga los

Instrucciones de instalación silenciosa

Al instalar el Software de programación de cliente de MOTOTRBO, RM Server, RM
Device Programmer, RM Job Processor, AirTracer de MOTOTRBO, RDAC de
MOTOTRBO o Tuner de MOTOTRBO, puede seleccionar utilizar la interfaz de
instalación silenciosa en lugar de la interfaz estándar. De esta manera, las aplicaciones
se instalarán sin interacción del usuario, lo que facilita su implementación en un gran
número de estaciones de trabajo.
Para ejecutar el instalador de forma silenciosa, siga las siguientes instrucciones:
1. Abra la línea de comandos como administrador (haga clic con el botón derecho del
ratón en "Ejecutar como administrador" en Windows 7 y superior).
2. Vaya a la ubicación del instalador mediante el comando cd.
3. Ejecute el comando correspondiente de la tabla siguiente. Tenga en cuenta que los
parámetros Feature1, Feature2 se deben sustituir por una lista de las funciones

Antes de instalar Radio Management, AirTracer de MOTOTRBO, RDAC de
MOTOTRBO o Tuner de MOTOTRBO en un sistema operativo Windows 8, debe activar
la función .NET Framework 3.5 en Windows siguiendo los pasos que aparecen a
continuación.
Si el equipo tiene acceso a Internet:
1. Vaya al escritorio.
2. Abra Configuración => Panel de control.
3. Vaya a Programas => Desinstalar un programa.
4. Seleccione "Activar o desactivar características de Windows" en el panel izquierdo.
5. Active ".NET Framework 3.5 (incluye .NET 2.0 y 3.0)".

Instalación del controlador MOTOTRBO

El controlador MOTOTRBO debe instalarse una vez para MOTOTRBO portátil y una vez
para MOTOTRBO móvil con el fin de activar las comunicaciones móviles con la radio a
través del puerto USB mediante las aplicaciones CPS, Sintonizador o AirTracer.
Además, si es necesaria la aplicación RDAC para conectarse a un repetidor a través del
puerto USB, también debe instalarse el controlador MOTOTRBO una vez para
MOTOTRBO repetidor.

local MOTOTRBO en el equipo
Para configurar la conexión de área local MOTOTRBO:
1. Haga clic en Inicio => Configuración => Conexión de red,
o bien en Inicio => Panel de control => Conexión de red y seleccione Abrir.
2. Seleccione Ver => Detalles en el menú.
3. Haga doble clic en la conexión de red llamada "Conexión de área local", que tiene el
nombre de dispositivo "MOTOTRBO Radio".
Nota: puede que tenga más de una conexión de área local activa en su equipo.
Asegúrese de seleccionar la correcta.

Se debe instalar este controlador para activar la función de actualización o recuperación

función de actualización o recuperación del dispositivo.

Prima di eseguire il pacchetto di installazione delle applicazioni CPS, Tuner e AirTracer
MOTOTRBO disponibili sui kit del CD GMVN5141_, leggere le istruzioni riportate di
seguito. Accertarsi di leggere attentamente tutte le istruzioni visualizzate sullo schermo
durante l'installazione.
Il CD GMVN5141_ del software per CPS, Tuner e AirTracer è disponibile per l'acquisto e

1. Scollegare tutti i dispositivi collegati al computer.
2. Chiudere tutti i programmi in esecuzione sul computer.
3. Accertarsi di aver eseguito l'accesso al computer come utente con i diritti di
amministrazione locali. Se si utilizza Windows Vista o versione successiva,
è possibile abilitare invece l'UAC.
4. Inserire il DVD nell'apposita unità. Se si dispone di più unità DVD, utilizzare quella
principale.
5. Attendere l'avvio dell'installazione automatica e seguire le istruzioni visualizzate sullo
schermo. Se il programma di installazione automatica non si avvia, selezionare il file
Setup.exe presente nel DVD e fare doppio clic su di esso.
6. Nella prima schermata, dovrebbe venire visualizzata un'opzione che consente di
selezionare la lingua che si desidera utilizzare per le fasi rimanenti dell'installazione.

7. In tal caso, selezionare una lingua e fare clic sul pulsante Avanti per passare alla
schermata di selezione delle funzioni.
8. Per installare solo l'applicazione CPS, selezionare la casella di controllo
"MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software".

avanzati
Prima di installare Radio Management, è necessario modificare alcune autorizzazioni
presenti sui computer avanzati. Seguire le indicazioni fornite per l'installazione sui
sistemi avanzati.
1. Fornire all'utente che esegue il programma di installazione i privilegi riportati di
seguito. Queste autorizzazioni sono necessarie per l'installazione di Microsoft SQL
Server, che è richiesto per il funzionamento di Radio Management Server.
Assicurarsi, inoltre, che l'utente che esegue il programma di installazione disponga
dei diritti di amministratore.

pagina 16) sul computer. Tuttavia, se l'applicazione RDAC è necessaria per il
collegamento a un backbone IP tramite la porta Ethernet, la connessione alla rete
locale sul computer deve essere configurata di conseguenza per assicurarsi che
vengano assegnati l'indirizzo IP e i parametri della subnet corretti.

Troubleshooting per l'installazione

Problemi relativi a Windows Installer
Se sul computer non è presente Windows Installer, viene visualizzato un messaggio di
errore, come illustrato di seguito.

Per risolvere il problema, uscire dall'installazione e seguire la procedura indicata di

seguito.

Sui sistemi operativi Microsoft® Windows®

1. Verificare che il computer soddisfi i requisiti minimi di sistema. Vedere "Requisiti per
l'installazione del sistema" a pagina 1.
2. Se sul sistema non è installato il Service Pack 2 o il Service Pack 3, scaricare e
installare il Service Pack 3 di Microsoft.
3. Eseguire nuovamente l'installazione di CPS/RDAC/Tuner/AirTracer.

Problemi relativi a Windows Update

Se non è stata attivata la funzione Windows Update in Windows Vista o versioni
successive, l'installazione di Radio Management Server potrebbe non installare
Windows Identity Foundation e ciò potrebbe compromettere la riuscita dell'installazione.
Per risolvere il problema, uscire dal programma di installazione e seguire la procedura
riportata di seguito.

In Microsoft® Windows® 7 e sistemi operativi successivi

1. Selezionare Pannello di controllo => Sistema e protezione => Windows Update e
scegliere una delle opzioni in alternativa a "Non verificare mai disponibilità
aggiornamenti".
2. Accedere alla pagina Web Microsoft all'indirizzo
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043 e seguire la procedura per riattivare
completamente Windows Update.
3. Eseguire nuovamente l'installazione.

Istruzioni per l'installazione invisibile all'utente

Quando si installa MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software, Radio Management
Server, Radio Management Device Programmer, Radio Management Job Processor,
MOTOTRBO Airtracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC o MOTOTRBO Tuner, è possibile scegliere
di utilizzare l'interfaccia di installazione invisibile all'utente invece di quella normale.
Questa interfaccia consente l'installazione delle applicazioni senza l'intervento
dell'utente e facilita la distribuzione in un gran numero di workstation.
Per eseguire il programma di installazione in modalità invisibile, seguire le istruzioni
riportate di seguito:
1. Accedere al Prompt dei comandi come amministratore (fare clic con il pulsante destro
del mouse su "Esegui come amministratore" in Windows 7 o versione superiore).
2. Accedere alla posizione del programma di installazione utilizzando il comando cd.
3. Eseguire il comando appropriato riportato nella tabella riportata di seguito. Si noti che
i parametri Feature1, Feature2 devono essere sostituiti dalla serie di funzioni
reali che si desidera installare indicate nell'apposito elenco riportato di seguito. Se

Ulteriori istruzioni di installazione per Windows 8

Prima di installare Radio Management, MOTOTRBO Airtracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC o
MOTOTRBO Tuner nei sistemi operativi Windows 8, è necessario attivare la funzionalità
Windows .NET Framework 3.5, completando la procedura riportata di seguito.
Se il computer ha accesso a Internet:
1. Accedere al desktop.
2. Accedere a Impostazioni => Pannello di controllo.
3. Accedere a Programmi => Disinstalla un programma.
4. Scegliere "Attivazione o disattivazione delle funzionalità Windows" dal pannello di

5. Selezionare ".NET Framework 3.5 (include .NET 2.0 e 3.0)".
6. Fare clic sul pulsante OK.

Se il computer non ha accesso a Internet:

1. Inserire il DVD Windows nell'unità DVD del computer.

Per consentire la comunicazione con la radio tramite la porta USB mediante le
applicazioni CPS, Tuner o AirTracer, è necessario effettuare l'installazione del driver
MOTOTRBO una volta per le radio portatili MOTOTRBO e una volta per le radiomobili
MOTOTRBO. Inoltre, se si utilizza l'applicazione RDAC per il collegamento a un ripetitore

Instrukcja cichej instalacji

Podczas instalacji oprogramowania MOTOTRBO Customer Programming, RM Server,
RM Device Programmer, RM Job Processor, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO
RDAC lub MOTOTRBO Tuner można wybrać skorzystanie z interfejsu cichej instalacji
zamiast instalacji standardowej. Pozwala to na zainstalowanie aplikacji bez interakcji ze
strony użytkownika i upraszcza wdrażanie na większej liczbie stacji roboczych.
Aby uruchomić instalator w trybie cichym, wykonaj następujące czynności:
1. Otwórz wiersz poleceń jako administrator (kliknij prawym przyciskiem myszy opcję
„Uruchom jako administrator” w systemie Windows 7 lub nowszym).
2. Przejdź do lokalizacji instalatora za pomocą polecenia cd.
3. Uruchom odpowiednie polecenie z poniższej tabeli. Należy pamiętać, że parametry
Feature1,Feature2 powinny zostać zamienione na listę faktycznych funkcji, które

Przed zainstalowaniem oprogramowania Radio Management, MOTOTRBO AirTracer,
MOTOTRBO RDAC lub MOTOTRBO Tuner w systemie Windows 8 należy uruchomić
funkcję .NET Framework 3.5 systemu Windows, wykonując poniższe czynności.
Jeśli komputer ma dostęp do Internetu:
1. Przejdź do pulpitu.
2. Otwórz Ustawienia => Panel sterowania.
3. Przejdź do Programy => Odinstaluj program.
4. Wybierz „Włącz lub wyłącz funkcje systemu Windows” na panelu po lewej.

Перед установкой Radio Management потребуется изменить некоторые разрешения

2. Если система не запускает Service Pack 2 или Service Pack 3, загрузите Service
Pack 3 с сайта Microsoft и установите его.
3. Запустите повторную установку CPS/RDAC/Tuner/AirTracer.

Проблемы Центра обновления Windows

Если Центр обновления Windows не активирован на компьютере с операционной
системой Windows Vista или более поздней версией, возможно, при установке
Radio Management Server не удастся установить платформу Windows Identity
Foundation. Это может стать причиной сбоя установки.
Чтобы решить данную проблему, выйдите из приложения и выполните следующие
действия.

Для операционных систем Microsoft® Windows® 7 и более поздних версий

1. Перейдите на "Панель управления" => "Система и безопасность" => "Центр
обновления Windows" и выберите любую опцию, за исключением "Никогда не
проверять наличие обновлений".
2. Перейдите на страницу Microsoft по адресу
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958043 и выполните необходимые действия для
повторного включения Центра обновления Windows.
3. Запустите повторную установку.

Инструкции по автоматической установке

При установке ПО для пользовательского программирования MOTOTRBO,
RM Server, RM Device Programmer, RM Job Processor, MOTOTRBO AirTracer,
MOTOTRBO RDAC или MOTOTRBO Tuner можно воспользоваться интерфейсом
автоматической установки вместо обычной. Автоматическая установка позволяет
устанавливать приложения без участия пользователя и облегчает установку на
большом количестве рабочих компьютеров.
Чтобы запустить автоматическую установку, следуйте данным инструкциям:
1. Запустите командную строку с правами администратора (в Windows 7 и более
поздних версиях щелкните правой кнопкой мыши по пункту "Запуск от имени
администратора").
2. С помощью команды cd перейдите к местоположению установщика.
3. Выполните нужную команду из таблицы ниже. Обратите внимание, что
параметры Функция 1, Функция 2 нужно заменить теми функциями из списка
функций ниже, которые вы хотите установить. При выполнении команд с
регистрацией также замените C:\log.txt путем к файлу регистрации.

Дополнительные инструкции по установке для Windows 8

Перед установкой Radio Management, MOTOTRBO AirTracer, MOTOTRBO RDAC
или MOTOTRBO Tuner на ПК с операционной системой Windows 8 необходимо
активировать компонент Windows .NET Framework 3.5, выполнив следующие
действия.
При наличии доступа к сети Интернет:
1. Перейдите на рабочий стол.
2. Откройте "Настройка" => "Панель управления".
3. Выберите "Программы" => "Удаление программы".
4. Выберите элемент "Включение или отключение компонентов Windows" на левой
панели.
5. Установите флажок ".NET Framework 3.5 (включает .NET 2.0 и 3.0)".
6. Нажмите кнопку "OK".

При отсутствии доступа к сети Интернет:

1. Вставьте DVD-диск Windows в DVD-привод компьютера.
2. Перейдите на начальный экран.
3. Щелкните правой кнопкой мыши по экрану и выберите "Все приложения".

Драйвер MOTOTRBO необходимо установить один раз для портативной модели
MOTOTRBO и один раз для мобильной модели MOTOTRBO, чтобы обеспечить
связь с радиостанцией через порт USB при использовании приложений CPS, Tuner
или AirTracer. Кроме того, если для подключения к ретранслятору через порт USB
требуется приложение RDAC, то для ретранслятора MOTOTRBO также
необходимо установить драйвер MOTOTRBO.
