Dear Captain Coliao:

His Excellency, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. has one of his flagship
programs is the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas wherein LGUs are at the forefront in the
maintenance of cleanliness and the balance of ecology among others. To further the
intentions of this policy, the DILG issued DILG MC 2024-053 institutionalizing further and
with enhancements the conduct of periodic road clearing operations to be led by the
barangays with the support of the municipal governments. To better understand the
policies on barangay road clearing and road clearing in general, may I respectfully request
for you to attend a meeting/briefing on the provisions of the abovementioned MC 2024-
053 tomorrow May 8,2024, at 9 in the morning at the office of the MLGOO.
