1. - Connection to ZXMW NR8250 radios

To connect to the radio for the first time we will use the PTO “LMT” of the RCUB Card, by default the
IP of this port is 192.168.1.16 and its submask is 255.255.255.0

We must configure an IP close to that of the port on the PC to use to connect. For example:

IP address: 192.168.1.20

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

in the “1+1 protection mode” column. Once the “Enable” option is selected from the drop-down
menu, press the “ Enable” button for the cards that are going to work as a group. Apply”.

The radio slots for 1+1 protections work in a group of slots, the groups are as follows:

Group 1: slot 1 and 2 (only configuration 1 +1 for controller cards)

Group 2: Slots 3 and 4

Group 3: Slots 5 and 6

Group 4: Slots 7 and 8

*Note: it is not possible to configure protections between groups or with slots from different
groups.

11. – Ethernet port configuration

Once the Eth ports are activated on the IDU, we can configure the port type, Jumbo Frame and LAG
functions.

To configure the port type (Port type), we must select between “Access”, “Trunk” and “Hybrid” modes.

Access: the port will mark the packets with a label (VLAN) to the packets that are not labeled, when
leaving the link the IDU will remove the label, packets that are labeled will be discarded. Only allows the
use of a single tag.

Trunk: Trunk mode will only allow packets to be transmitted that have the same tag (VLAN) configured
on the port, allowing the use of multiple tags (VLANS).

Hybrid: The hybrid mode allows the access of packets without labels, labeling them with the label
configured on the port, removing the labels when leaving the link, and in turn allows the transmission of
packets that are labeled with the same label that has been configured, It also allows the use of multiple
tags (VLANS).

Once the port type has been selected, we press the “Apply” button. Then we select the Priority and the
PVID , according to the engineering document and press the “Apply” button.

12. – VLANS configuration

To configure the VLANS in the “VLAN ID region configuration” section we add the VLANS of the services
to be transmitted on the port. To add VLANS simultaneously we can add them indicating the lowest VLAN
value to the highest VLAN value, separating them with a hyphen (-) (if they are Consecutive VLANS). For
example:

If we want to add VLANS 1 to 10, we do it as follows:
