COURSE DESCRIPTION : It is an introductory course for Engineering students, except Electrical Engineering, Electrical Mechanics
and Electronics, to acquire the corresponding basic knowledge. In this sense, the following topics are developed: fundamental
concepts of Electrical Engineering, Fundamental laws of circuits, equivalent resistance, mesh method, circuit theorems, Energy and
electrical efficiency, magnetism, inductance and capacitance, transients, AC analysis, transformers, electrical instrumentation and
electrical machines.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES: That the student acquires the minimum basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering, so that he can
understand with technicians and professionals of Electrical Engineering during his liberal practice.

METHODOLOGY: Master classes, research work, partial evaluations, and final.

EVALUATION OF ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE: Laboratory 15 points, 3 midterms 50%: Research and short exam 10 points and
final exam 25 points
