It is your responsibility to know the due dates for all course work (see Course

Schedule). Assignments are due electronically at the time specified on the course schedule.

**Arizona does not follow daylight savings time. It is any online student's responsibility to
determine the appropriate time zone conversion for timely submission of quizzes and
assignments**

Each student has a five-day total "time bank" for the session that you may use at your
discretion to extend a due date of coursework (assignment, discussion post, quiz) without
penalty. You may apply your "time bank" days to any coursework/assignment in
Modules 1-5, including the writing assignments.

You can use up all the days on one Module or split them between different Modules. For
example you could extend:

 One single assignment or quiz by five extra days OR

 Five discussions by one day each OR
 Two quizzes for two days each and one discussion by one day ... and so on.

This "time bank" is measured in days, so if you submit a coursework assignment 12 hours
after the deadline, you have four time bank days left for other coursework. If you submit an
assignment 26 hours after the deadline, you have 3 time bank days left for another
assignment. Additionally, as the deadline for all submissions is 11:59 pm, an assignment
submitted at 12:00 am the next day would require one day of time bank or it would be
considered late. If you submit an assignment 49 hours after the due date, it will not be graded
as it is more than 2 days late. That is, any work submitted more than two days late without
prior arrangement made or explanation given will not be graded and will automatically
receive a score of zero toward your final grade.

There are no penalties or bonuses for using or not using your time bank days. You do not
need to inform the instructor or course TA that you are using your 5 time bank days, as
we can track these in Canvas. But you are responsible for keeping track of your
remaining late days so you do not exceed five overall.

In Modules 1-5 time bank days can be used for any assignments: quizzes, writing
assignments, and discussion boards.

The final week of clas, time bank days are not available. Module 6 quiz and Assignment
#3 both have a HARD deadline for all coursework.

All work for grading, regardless of special extensions and time banks, must be submitted by
the last listed assignment submission date for the course session.

Note: If you use time bank days to submit an assignment late, your work will be graded last,
after all other on-time grading has been completed. So your grades will likely be delayed.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
