1. According to GL rule table 11.1 “Classification of pipes into pipe classes” and the design pressure/temperature of the system, the pipes to be specified as Class
I、II、III. For Class I 、II pipe, the pipe material, flange and screw /cutting ring connector shall have GL certificate, the flange and valve shall have

Note:
1) After pipe installation on board, tightness test to be acc. to this table, but for the suction piping only 2 bar. For the overboard-short pipe with valve, pressure test (5bar) must be
done.
2) In sea cooling water system, the vent pipe of the sea chest is seamless steel pipe with hot galvanized, the flange standard PN16 GB2506 with hot galvanized
3) Due to the standard GB2508~89 can not meet with the size of CuNiFer10 pipe, so in fact, the standard PN10 DIN2642 to be used for DN 20~250, PN10 DIN86037 PN10 for
DN300~600.
4) For sea cooling water system, in order to prevent electrical corrosion, the insulation sockets/gaskets must be installed for four (4) bolts/nuts of the butterfly valve flange
connection and all bolts/nuts of flange connected CuNiFe and steel pipe.
5) The HFO and sludge oil pipe installed on main deck shall be sent to special factory for installing pre-insulation layer after fabricated and hydraulic test and equipped tracing
pipe.
7) The system to be defined with both of ClassⅡand ClassⅢ according to the working temperature, the detail is shown on the diagram system.
8) The type of the flanges of the lub. oil inlet pipe of main engine shall be same to the lub. oil pipe flanges attached at the main engine.
10)In these systems, the vent and sounding pipe for water tank and void tank to be hot galvanized. But others are not galvanized.
11) All of the piping to be connected using socket welded, the flanges to be used only for to connect with the pipe accessories.
12) The effective test to be done only for ballast tank vent pipes during the ballast water system function test, the vent pipes of other tanks to be blown using the compressed air
only.
13) The pipe of this system is GRE tube, the bulkhead penetration and the pipe in the ballast pump room is seamless steel pipe with hot galvanized.
14) The scuppers and scupper pipe on main deck to be made of stainless steel (316L). Other scupper pipe to be made of seamless steel pipe with hot galvanized, but the scuppers on

16) The drawing specified some pipes are PVC pipe; they cannot be instead by other material pipe.
17)Tightness test to be done under the cooled condition with compressed air, during the thermal oil heaters are running and the temperature in the system is rising, to check the
leakage of the flange connection under the working pressure .(Caution: do not use water.)
18) In this system the hot water circulation pipe is seamless steel pipe, the steam pipe to be stainless steel pipe (316L), All flange/bolt/nut are stainless steel . After fabrication and
hydraulic test, they will be sent to special factory for installing pre-insulation material.
19) Tightness test of pipe at cargo pump outlet: close butterfly valve at pump outlet, run cargo pump to max. pressure. (Operation by FRAMO service engineer.)
20) Tightness test of cargo venting / vapor return system can be done simultaneously with cargo tank tightness test.
21) The penetrated pipe through 38# 和 43# bulkhead is stainless steel pipe.
22) All piping material and the piping fittings, including the flange, bolt, nut, gasket and pipe clamp will be supplied by maker (Framo).

--- Material: main pipe is seamless steel pipe; branch pipe is duplex stainless steel pipe.
23) In this system, the piping on exposed deck is stainless steel pipe (316L), and its flanges/bolts/nuts to be made of stainless steel also. But the piping inner door is seamless steel
pipe, and its flange/bolts/nuts to be made of carbon steel, the strength class of bolts/nuts is class 8.8/8.
24) The hydraulic test in workshop and tightness test on board to be done according to requirement of commissioning test of A/C R404A and Freezing R404A piping system.
25) Exhaust pipes are seamless steel pipe or steel plate rolled-welded, but the pipes above funnel top plate are made of stainless steel, drain water pipe is seamless steel pipe. In
order to make vessel passing through NanJing Bridge the pipes above funnel top plate to be tack welded only.
