Introduction

Welcome to my Teaching Internship Portfolio. This collection of

experiences, reflections, and artifacts represents the culmination of my journey
as a teaching intern. Over the course of my internship, I had the privilege of
working in diverse classroom settings, engaging with students of various
backgrounds and learning styles, and collaborating with experienced educators
who have guided and inspired me.

In this portfolio, you will find a detailed account of my internship

experience, including lesson plans, classroom management strategies, student
assessments, and reflective essays. Each section is designed to showcase my
growth as an educator and my commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive
learning environment.

My teaching philosophy centers around the belief that every student has
the potential to succeed when provided with the right support and opportunities.
Throughout my internship, I strived to create a classroom atmosphere that
encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I also focused on
building strong relationships with my students, understanding their individual
needs, and adapting my teaching methods to support their academic and
personal growth.

This portfolio not only highlights my achievements but also reflects the
challenges I faced and the lessons I learned along the way. It is a testament to
my dedication to the teaching profession and my continuous effort to improve
and adapt in order to provide the best educational experience for my students.
Acknowledgements

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has

supported and guided me throughout my teaching internship journey.

First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks to my cooperating

teachers, Ma’am Maria Teresa Villaflores, Ma’am Mila, Ma’am Montes, Ma’am
April Villamor and all of the Grade 2 and 5 Teachers whose wisdom, patience,
and unwavering support have been invaluable. Your guidance has profoundly
shaped my teaching practice, and your dedication to your students has been a
constant source of inspiration.

I am also deeply grateful to the administration and staff at Goez

Elementary School Bldg. 2 for providing a welcoming and supportive
environment. Your encouragement and willingness to share your knowledge and
experience have greatly contributed to my growth as an educator.

A special thank you to my university supervisors, Mr. Joel Magtibay, Mr.

Bernie Teguenos and Mr. Christopher Valencia, for your insightful feedback and
continuous encouragement. Your expertise and commitment to fostering future
educators have been instrumental in my development.

I would also like to thank my fellow interns and colleagues for their
camaraderie and shared experiences. Your collaboration and support have made
this journey more enriching and enjoyable.

To my students, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your educational

journey. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and resilience have taught me as much as I
have taught you. You are the reason I am passionate about teaching and
committed to making a positive impact in the classroom.

Lastly, I extend my deepest appreciation to my family and friends for their

unwavering support and understanding. Your encouragement and belief in me
have been the foundation of my strength throughout this internship. And also, to
God who is my savior and ear for the struggles I faced throughout this journey.

Thank you all for your contributions to my growth and success as an aspiring
educator.

My Philosophy of Teaching

I believe that the learners will learn and gain knowledge if the teacher
uses a approach and strategy that can match to the students capabilities.

I believe that I should teach the learners the proper and informative
lessons where they can gain knowledge that they can use in the future. If I
can teach them well then the knowledge that I gave them can be a big
help for then to use in the actual experience they may have in the future.

I believe that I should always relate my lesson to the environment we lived

in. the student need to be familiarize to the environment they are living
with. As it is a need for them to know what to do, what to act and how they
can live with.

Final Teaching Demonstration (Before, During, After)
Reflection
Teaching Internship is the time where the education students are going in
the field and practice their teaching skills to ready them to the future they have. It
is a way to make the student or the future educator adapt and know what is the
true scenario inside the school and classroom. It is an experience to know what
is happening during the time of the learning inside the classroom not as a student
but as a teacher.
During my time in teaching internship I struggle so many challenges. There
was also a time where I want to give up what I have started. But then, I come to
realization that I started it then I need to finish it. It was really difficult to
experience this type of a thing specially to me who has no idea how to handle a
kid. As a person I never got the chance to take care and handle kids in my entire
life as I was the who is youngest in our family. So, it was really a challenge for me
this teaching internship that I had.
As I was adjusting and adapting to the environment of the students and the
school has, I manage to enjoy what I am doing and just live for it. In this journey
we experience so many things like teaching the students every day, facing some
struggles in making the students obey, programs/events and other things.
Also, as part of the requirement in finishing the teaching internship we
need to conduct or do a demonstration. Where we are set to teach the students
with a little extra in materials and effort as it is a teaching where I am being
observed by someone higher like my professors and Master teachers.
In my time during demonstration I didn’t feel big nervous as I am familiar
with the students and I know I can handle these things properly. During the
demonstration I just felt happy and I really enjoyed it. That is why I exceed a little
time to my limit. But overall I am fully satisfied to what I have done in the
demonstration and my journey in the teaching internship.
It was truly an honor to teach and share knowledge to students as you
know that you are helping people. teaching is a very hard profession so a little
extra dedication and passion is badly needed in this type of a job.
 Preparation for my teaching demonstration.

During the preparation for the final demonstration that I will be doing, I
don’t really have time and it slip through my mind the documentation. I wasn’t
able tp document my preparation for the demo as I am to focus on doing my
materials and getting ready for it. It was one of the biggest day in my life so all
my attention is focus on making it the best that I can. I totally forgot to do a
documentation. Also, while getting ready to the demo I am also teaching my
students so I don’t really have anything in mind other than in my final demo and
teaching my students for them to have something to answer in their test and to
learn things.
 The happenings during my teaching demonstration.
 After my teaching demonstration.

EARTHQUAKE

DRILL

The school that I am

doing my internship had
an earthquake drill
where we as a teacher is
also part of it to. We are
there to assist and
guide the students to
the drill. This drill is
very important for the
students to know what
they will do in terms that
an earthquake happen
or any disaster, to
prevent panic and other
accidents.
MITING

DE

AVANCE
During our internship the
school let us to be the
leader and manage the
program which is the
miting de avance. It is a
program where the
students are introducing
themselves to be the
leader in the school.
Some of the things we did
is the program, the set
ups of things and
managing the students
during the event.
This day was a LAC
session day and the
teachers invite us to join
the seminar that they
will have. It is a seminar
where the speaker
explains the important
of being ready in terms
of a disaster especially
in a fire accident. This
session also taught us
so many things that we
can use during out
internship journey and
in life also.

LAC

SESSION
DANCE

PRAC
TICE

This was a preparing

for the upcoming event
which is the recognition
day. Every grade is
required to have an
intermission number
during the recognition.
And we are assigned to
teach the students a
dance. We did our best
here and try to be focus
on them as we have a
little bit of time to get
ready and practice for
the intermission.

This day was the happiest
and the saddest day for me.
Happiest because I can see
that the students are now
done for their grade and
now ready for their next
step. Saddest because it is
the last day of me and my
students to get together
because after this day they
will be going to their
vacation. It is a memorable
day because we saw how
the students give their best
to the intermission that we
practiced. I am proud of my
student in this day.

Feeding program is one of

the program in the school
that I assisted. It was for the
students who lack in weight
and protein to their body
who is included in this
program. The school are
giving the students a food to
boost their body weight and
nutrients in it. In school it is
not just their mind that we
need to grow but also their
body, weight, personality
and other things related to
their future.
This was a
quarterly awarding
QUARTERLY for the students. I
assist my
cooperating
teacher to give the
students an award
for their
outstanding
performance during
the whole quarter.
This was a way to
recognize the
sacrifices and hard
work of the
students and for
them to know that
we teachers
acknowledge what
they are doing in
the school and their
studies.
AWARDING
GRADUATION
It is the Graduation day where it is the day
that the Grade 6 students and parents have
been waiting for. This event is to grant and
open the door for the students for their next
step in their education and in life. it was a
tiring but also a happy day as we feel proud
for our students for their job well done in
their elementary journey. During this day I
feel very proud of the students to what they
have and to what they have done to be in
this day of their life.
LOCAL DEMONSTRATION

Local demonstration is a
serious thing also. It is
like a practice for the
final demonstration. This
demonstration has also
an observer. This serves
as the wakeup call for
the interns. This demo is
like the first big
challenge where we can
see what we need to
adjust, need to develop,
need to maintain and
need to remember as a
teacher. It was a very
fun day, I experience
playing with them and at
the same time got my
practice for my teaching.
While the students are
learning and gaining
knowledge when I
teach, I also learn and
gain knowledge from
teaching them. This
experience of practice
teaching is a win-win
situation for all of us. For
the students, they can
learn and experience
new teacher. For us, the
intern we gain
knowledge from the
students while teaching.
And for the cooperating
teacher, they are able to
do some other works
while we are in the
school as we are the
fully responsible in
teaching the students in
our time there.
FLAG
CEREMONY

On this day we are

assigned to lead
the flag ceremony.
As what the usual
program is, we did
the beat for all the
songs in the flag
and we also sing
as they sing. As
part of the flag also
we dance, it is for
the energizer of
the students.
For the last thing we did in the
school to help our cooperating
teachers and as an intern, we
typed and organized the
master’s list for the upcoming
school year. As the last thing we
will help our cooperating
teachers we volunteer to be the
one who will do it to again lessen
their work. In this day they have
so many things and papers to do
so we just want to help even just
a small thing. And this day also
we bid our farewell to our
cooperating teachers and the
school. It was really a wonderful
experience what we di in the
school. Again, THANK YOU
GOMEZ ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL.
