DIAMOND OFFSHORE DRILLING INC JOB APPOINTMENT LETTER/AGREEMENT

To confirm the recent screening process, which was conducted by the Screening
Department of DIAMOND OFFSHORE DRILLING INC (UK), we are pleased to offer you an
initial position as the:
POSITION: DRILLING SUPERVISOR

AGREEMENT WITNESS AS FOLLOWS: The Company desires to employ Expatriate and


the Expatriate desires to become employed by the Company. The Company and the
Expatriate desire to enter into Employment Agreement, which shall govern the terms of
the Expatriate’s employment

WHERE AS: The Company and Employee desire to regularize their relationship and, in
that context, the Company desires to continue to engage the Employee and the
Employee desires to continue to serve the Company in accordance with the terms and
conditions set forth in this Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE: In consideration of the mutual Agreements set forth below and other
good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the
Company and the Expatriate hereby agree, as follows

JOB LOCATION: Wessex Basin (Dorset, southern England).

STARTING DATE: 16TH November, 2023. On this date, you are to report at 9:20 a.m. to
the Human Resources Department, where you will be provided with packet containing

you accept this job offer, per company policy you'll be eligible to receive the following
beginning on your hire date.

Salary: Monthly starting net salary of £ 14,689 (GBP) exclusive of any taxation. All
payment of Salary after assumption of duty in Houston Texas, United State shall be 90%
paid into an offshore account to be provided by employee with the remaining 10% paid
locally in UK.

Salaries of employees are subject to review every year, during the period of renewal
of contract.

Note: The 90% of the first 3 (three) month’s salary will be paid to you in advance before
you assume duty. This is company policy to enable you settle all your needs and ensure
of relocation ASAP. Company will not entertain any excuses on assumption of duty
relating to default. While the remaining 10% shall be paid in to your local Salary Bank
Account, which you have to open with one of the Bank’s here. This is in line with the UK
PATRIOT Act of 2001.

Job Description
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities: Other duties may be assigned.
 Visit job sites and proposed job sites as required to perform estimates and
gather cost data.
 Speck and secure materials and/or equipment required to complete the
project.
 Procure and analyze subcontractor bids.
 Prepare, coordinate, review and distribute estimates in accordance with
Company policy and procedures.
 Coordinate with the project manager to develop schedules to meet contract
requirements.
 Supervise and direct field crews and subcontractors.
 Ensure implementation of health and safety and project work plans.
 Resolve day to day problems on the job-site
 Provide direction and coordination of field activities related to drilling and
other field work.
 Identify, analyze and develop solutions to causes of disruptions and delays.
 Monitor project budget and project expenses.
 Interface and communicate with clients in a professional manner.
 Develop and maintain professional relationships with subcontractors and
vendors.
 Operate and maintain heavy equipment.

 Oversee delivery and off-loading of supplies and materials.
 Complete field reports.
 Hire/dismiss employees.
 Conduct performance appraisals.
 Train and mentor junior staff.
 Reporting to Engr. John Scott

Physical Job Demands:

Health, Safety & Environmental.

Performance Bonuses : Employee shall receive year-end annual bonus, to which he/she
may be entitled under such Management Incentive Program as the Company may adopt
with respect to each fiscal year of the Company, subject to the terms, plans,
qualifications and conditions of any such plan. The full potential of the year-end annual
bonus is a minimum of 30% of the Base Salary and shall be paid in accordance with the
Company’s procedures for its year end Management Incentive Program (or similar plan).

 Rotation: 28/28.
 Contract Duration: 3 Years (Renewable)

Job Proceedings/Requirements: Upon acceptance of Employment, following


documents must be provided for further proceedings.
a. Employee’s International Passport Copy with 6 Months Validity.
b. Affidavit of Support and Letter of Attestation.

Visa Information
 Benefits:
Travel Papers/Documents: All International Applicant should note that
DIAMOND OFFSHORE DRILLING INC, (UK) shall duly secure all traveling
documents, and Visa from the Home office of the United Kingdom Immigration
Service here in UK for every applicant coming from outside the United Kingdom.
But your Affidavit of Support and Letter of Attestation shall be at your own
expense, to proof your commitment to the company. It is as per Company Rules
and Regulations. Due to the alarming breach of Contract by employees here in
the UK. Any employee that wishes to work with us must get this document from
the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, via the Immigration Attorney. Stating
that HE/SHE will honor the Terms of Contract with the company till the
expiration. After which the company can proceed with your traveling
documents. This is as a result of employees decamping from their duty post and
ending their contract without prior notice to the company.

1. Work Permit: On your arrival, Diamond Offshore Drilling INC (UK) shall secure
DIAMOND OFFSHORE DRILLING (U.K.) LTD, Howe Moss Drive Kirkhill Industrial Estate Dyce,
Aberdeen AB21 OGL Scotland.
your work permit papers from the United Kingdom Immigration Service which
will enable you to live and work legally here in United Kingdom.

2. Flight Ticket: Your flight ticket shall also be sent to you, a week before your
departure. You are to provide a working and valid postal address where your
ticket shall be delivered through a courier service agent, inclusive of the
Hardcopy of your Offer Letter and Certificate of Employment.

3. Vacation: The employee shall be entitled to four (4) week’s vacation at full pay,
in accordance with the Company Policies. The employees vacations will be
scheduled at such times as will least interfere with the business of the Company.

4. Accommodation: Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc (UK), Provides accommodation


to all foreign nationals at the Company’s staff estate in Houston, Texas.
Employees are entitled to take meals free of charge at the General Staff
canteens. Dietary options, Customized cooks and Dieticians are available
options.
5. Sick Pay: Employee shall be entitled to thirty (30) days per year of fully paid sick
leave, against a doctor's confirmation, which leave can be accumulated for a
period of up to a maximum of two years provided, however, that the Employee
shall not be entitled to sick leave payment to the extent already covered by any
insurance component of any plan established by or for the benefit of the
Employee pursuant.

6. Scholarships/Educational Assistance: Company shall provide scholarship


awards/ educational assistance benefits for employees’ registered dependents (a
spouse and maximum of 2 children, not more than 18 years of age in any school
within our territories.
7. Employment Status: This engagement is a family status employment as such,
employees’ are fully allowed to make job engagement trip with their family if
deemed necessary by employee and shall be accommodated by Diamond
Offshore Drilling Inc for duration of contract.

8. Family Status Arrangements: Family status arrangements can only be applied


after at least three (3) months of service. The Application of family status
arrangement indicates that an expatriate will be entitled to a free visa and air
fare for his wife or spouse or any other family member which is to be provided
by the Company through the Traveling Department.

9. Orientation Program: Candidates are advice to arrive a week before job


commencement date in order to attend the orientation seminar. Note there will
not be further interview as your appointment is basically on the information,
which you have provided on your resume before screening. There will be a
routine check of your credentials on arrival by the Human Resource Department
to confirm validity.

10. Reimbursement: All expenses you incurred during the period of processing your
Visa application with Immigration Consultant Mandated by Diamond Offshore
Drilling Inc (UK) will be reimbursed before you embark on your journey. The First
3(three) month’s upfront salaries shall be paid only if you provide immigration
lawyer with the entire documents during the period of processing your Visa
application.

11. Safety and Security: Safety and Security of personnel (Local/Foreign) and
Facilities on Job Locations and communities are no small issues, and have been
seriously considered to ensure and assure hitch free operations. All operations
on Job Location are designed to adhere strictly to the Health Safety and
Environment (HSE) Policy as applicable in the Company Sector. All expatriates
are entitled to a free and mandatory safety courses on Job Locations to be
delivered by qualified safety and environment experts.

12. Medical and Health Care: Employer will provide the employee with
comprehensive Health care for the time of contract, and follow-on care for
injuries suffered during the time of contract for employee and family.

13. Communication and Internet Facilities: HP:15.6" 15-f024wm Laptop PC with


Intel Pentium N3530 Processor, 4GB Memory, Touch screen, 500GB Hard Drive
and Windows 8.1, Spare Battery and Necessary Software’s. 24 hours Internet
access is also available. NB: The Laptop is subject to upgrade on request. The
company will also provide the employee with one land line phone at home.

CONFIRMED EMPLOYEE: For any Expatriate to be Duly Certified as a Confirmed


Employee with DIAMONG OFFSHORE DRILLING INC (UK), Expatriate must acquired the
Affidavit of Support and Letter of Attestation duly certified by the concerned
authorities, without which he/she would not be given the necessary due employment’
benefits and preference as such cannot be referred to as Employee to Diamond
Offshore Drilling (UK).

Note: You are required to contact the Immigration attorney of the Company to obtain
the Affidavit of Support and Letter of Attestation, as required by the Company
Authorities, from the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom on your behalf. No
Employee will be allowed to work or operate without the documents.

Disputes: Any dispute arising in connection with employment, which cannot be settled
amicably, shall be referred to the Federal Civil Courts. No amendment or alterations to
the terms and conditions of the Agreement shall be valid unless mutually agreed in
writing and signed by both the Employer and the Employee. Any terms and conditions
not specifically covered under the agreement, the internal rules and regulation of the
Employing Company shall be governed.

Termination: In addition, Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc reserves the right to terminate
the employment of any staff that flagrantly or repeatedly fails to comply with the
Company’s code of conduct or commits an offence of a magnitude that the Company
considers him/her unsuitable to be in its employment.

Summary Dismissal: An Employee may be dismissed for the commission of a grave


offence, in which case no notice is given. Such offences shall include inter-alias.
A. Theft and fraud in connection with Company’s business or property. Any staff
found guilty or implicated in any of these offences may be liable to prosecution.

B. Disclosure of confidential information of the Company or its Associate to a


third party.

C. Conviction imprisonment for criminal offence.

The Employee’s High Commission, Embassy shall be given benefit of consultation


in any case involving the dismissal of its Citizens as such, Employee will also be
given the chance of fair hearing and proper investigation prior to decisions
conclusion.
