UX UI design
with ChatGPT This presentation provides practical examples of how
UX UI designers and web
designers can use ChatGPT
in their daily work.
Introduction This presentation provides practical examples of how UX UI designers and web designers can use ChatGPT in their daily work.
We will discuss how to use it to plan
design work, collect interface requirements, conduct user research, generate design ideas, visualize user interactions, measure design effectiveness, and improve design accessibility and inclusion.
And how it will ultimately help you
create intuitive and user-friendly projects, as well as optimize your workflow and reduce routine actions. 1. CJM ChatGPT claims to have the ability to generate tables, so this feature can be incredibly useful in the context of generating a Customer Journey Map (CJM).
The response from the chat is very
accurate, so you can: reduce the amount of user experience research required, identify areas for improvement, optimize customer interaction. 2. Empathy map In the context of table generation, ChatGPT has successfully coped with the creation of the Empathy map.
This table of empathy maps, in
response to the query: “build an empathy maps table for a project educational site with paid courses”, correctly identifies the needs, problems and influencers for the personality of an online student who wants to find and buy an online course. This empathy map will help the design team to better understand the end user and create designs that meet their needs and help achieve their goal. 3. Project planning
Perhaps you are stuck at the stage of
planning the development schedule
for your project?
Ask the chatbot to generate a weekly
breakdown of the site development
milestones using a agile method. Even
if it's not perfect, it will push you in
the right direction.
4. Storyboard Why not tell a product story using ChatGPT?
Storyboard in text format and in 3
different options, here is what we received in response to a request.
These storyboards illustrate
different user journeys, highlighting the various features and capabilities that can be included in the interface. By creating storyboards, the design team can visualize the user experience and identify areas of design that need improvement. 5. User flow In addition to the storyboard, you can generate a user flow.
Designers can benefit greatly from
using ChatGPT when creating a custom flow for their design projects. Instead of spending hours coming up with possible scenarios and writing out dialogs, you can make a request to ChatGPT and get examples of the user flow. This can ensure that designers consider all possible ways to interact with the user, since ChatGPT can create dialogues that take into account different goals and motives of users. 6. IA
During the interface requirements
gathering phase, a basic information
architecture can be built to ensure
that important interface elements are
not overlooked later in the design
process. This can be done with
ChatGPT and in a table format.
Of course, requirements gathering
should involve interviewing all
stakeholders, but creating a basic
information architecture to help guide
the design process can be an
important first step.
7. Metrics with formulas Web designers frequently face challenges when it comes to evaluating the effectiveness of their designs.
Just asking chatgpt: "write 10 metrics
with calculation formulas to evaluate the effectiveness of ux ui design for a web page" we get definitions of metrics and formulas for calculating them. A set of metrics and their associated calculation formulas can provide valuable insight into the efficacy of UX/UI design for a web page. These indicators can help designers identify specific areas for improvement and enhance the user experience. 8. Sitemap One way to visualize in ChatGPT is to request to build a mindmap.
For example, a request to build a
sitemap in mindmap format will draw a diagram as in the screenshot below.
A sitemap can be helpful for both
website owners and users, as it provides a clear overview of the website's content and organization. 9. Flowchart
Another visualization method is a
request to build a flowchart in the form of a mindmap.
UX designers can use flowcharts to
show the steps a user takes while interacting with a product.
Flowcharts can also serve as a record
of design decisions and help designers stay organized throughout the design process. 10. Unsuccessful attempt
to create svg icon
Since chatgpt has a console, I decided to try to get it to write the code for the svg shopping cart icon for the online store.
Alas, it didn't work out so well :)
