ICSE GEOGRAPHY PROJECT 2024 – 25

GRADE 10
Candidates will be required to prepare a project report on any one topic. The topics
for assignments may be selected from the list of suggested assignments given below.

1. Environment: Wildlife conservation efforts in India.


2. Development of tourism in India.
(a) Choose a city / region where tourism has developed rapidly in the past
10 years.
(b) Assess the contribution of tourism in the development of the
city/region.
3. Transport in India: Development of Road, Rail, Water and Air routes.
(a) Choose a region where there has been rapid development of
transportation in the past 10 years.
(b) How has it impacted the economy and lives of the people in the region?
4. Choose a state in India and list the different types of industries found there.
For example, in Maharashtra, you can find industries such as textiles,
automobile manufacturing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and
petrochemicals.

Collect information on any one industry. The information must include the
types of raw materials used, modes of their procurement, manufacturing
process and disposal of waste generated. Classify these industries as polluting
or environmentally friendly and suggest possible ways of reducing pollution
caused by these units.

1. Visit government websites for genuine information.
2. Use online newspapers for the latest information related to the chosen topic.

maps and diagrams [add heading and figure nos.], wherever possible.
Note: The pictures/maps/graphs/illustration must be pasted on the blank side of the
interleaf page.

3. Bibliography-
- Give all the sources from where you have gathered the information, including the exact
websites, name of the article/books and its author.
- Do not give references of ‘Search Engines’ such as Google. Refrain from quoting from
Wikipedia as the source of information is not authentic and accurate.
- Attach copy of the rubric for marking.
