Type of lesson: mixed (vocabulary revision and teaching grammar)
Vocabulary: Clothes
Grammar: Present Continuous Affirmative
Time: 50 min.
Lesson aim:
- speak about clothing items
- employ correctly the grammar topic;
- put the correct form of the verb in brackets;
- exchange information using the grammar structures under discussion;
Cognitive Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- name and identify clothing items
- know how to form a sentence using affirmative aspects of the present continuous tense.
- write simple sentences using present continuous
- elicit information about people they see in an image using present continuous

Methods and techniques: conversation, explanation, question – answer, discussion, individual work, exercises.
Learning activity: individual work
Assumed knowledge: - I assume that students already know clothing vocabulary from the previous lesson
Aspects I particularly need to be aware of: the students to understand everything the teacher says and asks;
Teaching aids/ Materials: blackboard, worksheets, laptop, PowerPoint, flashcards, flipchart, coloured markers.
