1 Introduction
At LTIMindtree, we believe that child-care is an important responsibility.
Providing creche/daycare facility is a step towards empowering employees by
facilitating tie-ups with professionally run creche centres, thereby encouraging a
supportive work environment.

2 Purpose

the fee structure and process to enrol and exit.

3 Authority and Approval


Global HR Compliance Team is responsible for reviewing the Policy annually and
carrying out subsequent modifications according to the upcoming amendments
in the relevant legislations governing creche benefit. Any change or revision in
the Policy will be communicated through appropriate channel.

4 Effective Date

This Policy is already in effect, changes to this Policy are effective from April 01,
2024.

5 Scope

• This policy is applicable to all employees based in India whether permanent or


temporary, trainees, apprentices, retainers, consultant and contractual
personnel.

• This policy shall apply to all employees having different personas defined
wherein an employee may operate from any of the designated offices like
LTIMindtree Office, Satellite Office, Client Office or Home Office as applicable
from time to time.

• Employees with children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years can avail this
benefit.

6 Policy

• LTIMindtree is having a tie-up with different creche facility providers in the


close vicinity of LTIMindtree India office locations. Employees can enrol their
children with the designated creche centers. (Refer Annexure I - Details of
Creche Centers and Fees).

• Interested employees are required to visit the respective daycare center and
gain a complete understanding of its facilities, policies, procedures and timings
etc. before the enrolment. (Refer Annexure II - Creche Enrolment / Exit Process
Workflow).

• Confirmation of enrolment is subject to the availability of the seats in daycare


center at each location.

• To enrol the name, Employee should get the enrolment form from
respective daycare center, fill up the required information, scan and share with
HRSS Team on the email ID: HRSS.Indiacreche@ltimindtree.com

• HRSS team will verify and approve the email request of enrolment under
LTIMindtree Creche Benefit Program.

• Employee should share the said email approval with the respective daycare
center in-charge.

• Daycare center in-charge will allow special fee discounts to LTIMindtree


employees only on receipt of the said email approval along with duly filled in
enrolment form.

• Payment of fees towards creche facility is a fixed monthly payment, irrespective


of the number of days the facility availed in the month. Monthly fees will be
paid by LTIMindtree in advance and 50% of the fees will be deducted from the

children. However, if there is an overwhelming response over and above the
creche capacity, the waiting list will be maintained by respective daycare center
in-charge and would be conveyed to the Employee at the time of enrolment
request.

• Backdated reimbursement of creche fees paid by the Employees is not


permitted as well as special discounted rate given to LTIMindtree cannot be
enjoyed in case employee enrols his / her child with respective creche facility
without the approval from LTIMindtree HRSS Team.

• Once opted for half daycare/ full daycare/ Weekly basis/ ad-hoc basis facility,
option cannot be changed before completion of the same month. In case,
Employee wishes to change the above options for upcoming months,
Employee should get the email confirmation from creche facility and share it
with HRSS Team at least 5 working days prior to end of earlier option. Creche
benefit deduction from payroll will be made accordingly.

• In case an employee would like to stop availing the creche facility, an advance
intimation (at least 5 working days) must be given to the HRSS Team by filling
up the Creche Facility Exit Form (Refer Annexure III - Creche Exit Form)

• HRSS team will endorse/approve the exit on email and Employee should share
the same with respective daycare center in-charge. This will help in timely
cessation of the deduction of creche benefit contribution from employee
payroll.

• HRSS Team will share the inputs (details of parent and child along with full
day/half day care/ Weekly basis/ ad-hoc basis option) to the SSC Payroll to
start/stop deducting the creche benefit contribution only based on the Creche
entry/exit forms respectively, received during the month. Deduction of the
creche fees will not be charged on pro-rata basis, in case the employee opts to
exit the creche facility or in case the separates from the Company before
completing the month.

• This benefit is aimed at providing creche support (i.e., day-care and/or pre -
school) in close vicinity to our India offices. All additional services including day
wise ad-hoc requests, if any, except the aforesaid, offered by the creche
provider, will have to be borne by the employee. Offerings could vary from
location to location.

• The responsibility of dropping and picking up the child to and from the creche
center will solely lie with the employee and/or the authorized guardian as
specified in the creche enrolment form with the daycare center in-charge.

• Respective employee can visit the child in the creche facility at periodic
intervals, up to maximum of 4 times during the day with an intimation to
his/her manager.

• Any queries pertaining to the facilities provided by the creche vendor, (pre-
enrolment and post-enrolment) should be raised directly with the daycare
center in-charge. For any queries pertaining to payroll deductions regarding
the creche benefit, should be sent to HRSS team.

Note: *50% of the total fees per child per month will be borne by LTIMindtree
and remaining 50% to be borne by the respective employee which will be
deducted from the payroll.
