COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM

A. Course Design

Course Title: HILOT WELLNESS MASSAGE

Nominal Duration: 120 HOURS

Qualification Level: NC II

Course Description:

This course is designed to develop knowledge, skills, and attitude to perform the
tasks of Hilot Wellness Massage NC II in accordance with industry standards. It
covers core competencies such as: plan the hilot wellness program of client/s, pro-
vide preliminary services to client/s, apply hilot wellness techniques, and provide ad-
vice on post-hilot wellness services.

This includes common competencies: implement and monitor infection control


policies and procedures, respond effectively to difficult / challenging behavior, apply
basic first aid, and maintain high standard of client services.

It also includes competencies such as, participate in workplace communication,


work in a team environment, practice career professionalism and practice occupa-
tional health and safety procedure.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Trainees/students must possess the following requirements:

 18 years old and above


 Must pass the personality/aptitude test
 can communicate both in oral and written form
 Must be physically, emotionally and mentally fit
 With good moral character
