Subject: Legal Notice Regarding Unfair Treatment in Application Process

Dear Chairman,

I am writing this legal notice to bring to your attention a serious matter concerning the
recent recruitment process conducted by the National Database and Registration
Authority (NADRA). I wish to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with the
manner in which the application process for the position of Assistant Corporate
Counsel / Assistant Director was handled, particularly on the last day of submission,
April 12, 2024.

As a diligent and prospective applicant, I diligently prepared my application materials


and attempted to submit them well within the specified deadline. However, to my
utmost dismay, I encountered significant obstacles that prevented me from completing
the submission process as intended. Specifically, on the evening of April 12, 2024, at
approximately 7:30 pm, when I endeavored to submit my application through the
official NADRA website, I was met with an unexpected error message indicating that the
system was undergoing maintenance.

This unforeseen system maintenance occurrence not only impeded my ability to submit
my application but also raised serious concerns regarding the transparency, fairness,
and integrity of the recruitment process conducted by NADRA. It is incredulous and
deeply disappointing that such critical system upgrades were scheduled on the very
deadline date, thereby potentially disenfranchising numerous diligent applicants such as
myself.

In addition to the technical difficulties encountered during the online submission


process, my subsequent attempt to seek redress through the NADRA helpline (1777) at
8:00 pm was met with further frustration. The representative I spoke to expressed
helplessness in addressing my legitimate concerns, leaving me without recourse or
resolution.

The actions of NADRA in conducting system upgrades on the final day of the
application deadline demonstrate a clear disregard for the principles of fair play, equal
opportunity, equality, and open competition, which are fundamental tenets of any
reputable recruitment process. Such conduct not only undermines the trust and
confidence of prospective applicants but also calls into question the integrity of the
officials involved in overseeing system upgradation.

In light of the aforementioned circumstances, I hereby demand the following:

1. An immediate extension of the application deadline for the position of Assistant


Corporate Counsel / Assistant Director, to allow all affected applicants ample
opportunity to submit their applications without prejudice or disadvantage.
2. A thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the decision to conduct
system upgrades on the final day of the application deadline, with a view to ensuring
accountability and preventing recurrence of similar incidents in the future.
3. Assurance of fair and transparent conduct throughout all stages of the recruitment
process, including but not limited to, the handling of technical issues and provision of
timely and effective assistance to applicants.

Failure to address the concerns raised in this legal notice within a reasonable timeframe
will compel me to pursue further legal remedies to safeguard my rights and interests as
an aggrieved applicant. I trust that you will give this matter the urgent attention it
deserves and take appropriate corrective measures to rectify the injustices suffered by
affected applicants.

To substantiate my claim, I have attached herewith a screen recording. Please


acknowledge receipt of this legal notice at your earliest convenience.
