2.0 SCOPE

2.1 GENERAL
2.1.1 DCS VENDOR shall supply all hardware and software to build a complete
functioning control system as per the referenced project specifications and
Saudi Aramco Standards.
2.1.2 All hardware, firmware, software and system components necessary for the
proper functionality of the DCS, whether explicitly specified or not herein, shall

be identified and provided by DCS VENDOR as part of his scope.


2.1.3 DCS VENDOR shall provide configuration details to CONTRACTOR(s) for the
update of P&IDs based on the final configuration of the DCS after startup.
2.1.4 DCS VENDOR shall provide an FF Consultant to assist CONTRACTOR(s) in
developing the FF design philosophy.
2.1.5 DCS VENDOR shall provide the required interfaces, including hardware,
software, configuration and displays necessary to integrate the applicable

3.0 FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATION


3.1 GENERAL
3.1.1 The entire DCS, including hardware and software, shall be from the
manufacturer’s standard project line. System components and sub
assemblies not previously provided successfully or field proven to other
purchasers/ COMPANY shall not be considered for this project.

3.1.3 DCS hardware and software revision level shall meet the requirements defined

3.4.1 DCS VENDOR shall segregate the design and configuration of the DCS
hardware and software in order to meet the project segregation requirements.
3.4.2 The DCS shall meet the requirements for segregation defined in Saudi
Aramco Engineering Standard, SAES-Z-001 section 8, “Segregation”.

3.7.4 DCS VENDOR shall provide capacity, loading and performance calculations

calculations shall take account of limitations due to gateways, routers, bridges
and system internal firewalls.
3.7.5 DCS VENDOR shall state the constraints to potential expansion of the
