Content Standards Demonstrate an understanding of politics and political science, governance, political ideologies, power, states, nations, and globalization.

Most Essential Learning Competencies Explain the concept, relationship and importance of politics, governance and government.
Specific Learning Objectives In this lecture, students will be able to:
1. identify and define key political ideologies.
2. compare and contrast different ideological perspectives.
3. analyze impact on policy and governance of different political ideologies influence policy decisions and governance practices in various
countries and time periods; and,
4. synthesize knowledge and formulate arguments on different political ideologies and construct well-reasoned arguments based on their
understanding.
