Chapter 1

The Problem/ Background of the Study

1st Paragraph: What is already known about the topic?

2nd Paragraph: What is not known about the topic?

gap(s)?/problems

4th Paragraph: What is the rationale/reasons to your study?

Introduction

1st & 2nd Paragraph: Should establish the problem or the need to

conduct the study;

3rd & 4th Paragraph: Should provide the background of your

intervention, materials used, or your topic;

family name(s) of the author(s), year, title, objectives, and results.

Summarize and paraphrase these information;

Framework of the Study

Theories on productivity. Include 3 theories followed by

The framework of the study (author and years where you anchored

your study. Schema 1st box, 2nd box,3rd box. (Box 1 Teachers

productivity in terms of 3 variables with author) line ( box 2

challenges encountered) arrow ( box 3 intervention plan) in one

page . Discuss the 3 variables in 1 paragraph each including the

challenges and the intervention plan

Example: Figure 1: The Schematic Diagram of the Relationship of

the Variables in the study

Statement of the Problem

Starting statement: The General Problem of the study is:

Specifically, it endeavored to solve the following research problems:

1. Problem 1

2. problem 2

3. Problem 3

The Significance of the Study

4

The study will be beneficial to the following:

Learners. Explain why it is beneficial to them.

Teachers. Explain why it is beneficial to them.

Use the APA (American Psychological Association) style: Follow the

author-date method in in-text citation. This means that the author’s

last name and the year of publication for the source should appear

in the text, like for example, (Jones, 1998). One complete reference

for each source should appear in the reference list at the end of the

paper.

Legal bases

Established the significance to the present study and connect

paragraph to another. Similarities, differences, contributions, what

expect to contribute to the organization.

Theme 1 ( based from you title)

(arrange presentation how the 3 areas were presented then the

challenges, intervention and insights)

Theme 2

Up to theme 3 only (do not repeat what is in your schematic)

Chapter 3

Methodology

This chapter indicates the detailed discussion of the process

involved in making this study. Topics included in this chapter are

research design, research locale, and the participants of the study,

sampling procedure, research instrument, data gathering

procedure, scoring procedure, and treatment of data.

Include the research design. If the researcher used mixed

methods, explain why.

Research Locale
The study focuses in the ….

(Describe the school in terms of its population of students

and What are the interventions and before the implementations of

your topic.

Example: Table 1. Distribution of Participants by Strand ( needed if

it’s quanti) for quali, you need to present and describe textual

School Number of Participants

7

Total

Participants of the Study

Specify the number of research respondents and which strand

they belong. 50% or 75% of the population. Include the exact

number of respondents. Number of Males and Females.

Research Instrument
Do not mention what researcher made, look for the author. Describe

part 1 and part 2. No need to mention the choices. If the research

instrument is modified by the researcher, it must have an accurate

description of the modification.

Administration/Utilization of Instrument

Include ethical considerations. Participants will be assured of

the confidentiality of their answers and respected their freedom to

choose what answers they thought is proper and right

The Scoring Procedure
