General Guidelines for TLE QUIZ BEE

“BATTLE OF TECHNOLOGY”

1. The coverage of the Quiz Bee would focus on the general information about different
areas of Technology and Livelihood Education.
2. The contest is open to all TLE students, but only registered contestants are allowed to
join the contest.
3. There will be three (3) rounds for this competition: Easy, Average and Difficult.
4. Each round consists of 10 questions with the following points:

 Easy Round - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 10 points


 Average Round - - - - - - - - - - - - - 20 points
 Difficult Round - - - - - - - - - - - - - 30 points

5. The quiz master will read the question twice.


6. The contestants must wait for the go signal before writing down their answers. If they
were caught answering before the go signal, they will be disqualified for that particular
question.
7. Contestants must write down their answer on the illustration board (black side) provided
by themselves and a piece of rag as an eraser. Chalks must be provided by the contest
organizer.
8. Time limit is 15 seconds for every question.
9. Upon the signal of the quiz master, contestants must raise their board.
10. For every correct answer, 1 point will give in the easy round.
11. The contestants who got scores of 8 points and above are qualified for Average Round.
If in case no contestants got 8 points and above, the highest pointers in the Easy Round
will carried over in the Average Round.
12. In this round for every correct answer, 2 points will be given.
13. The contestants who got 14 points and above are qualified for the Difficult Round.
14. For every correct answer, 3 points will be given to this round.
15. In case of a tie, they will proceed to the tie breaker question.
16. Three winners will be declared as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placer depending on the total
accumulated points.
17. Winners will receive the following according to their place:
Champion . . . . . . . . . . . Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit
2nd Place . . . . . . . . . . . . Silver Medal and Certificate of Merit
3rd Place . . . . . . . . . . . . Bronze Medal and Certificate of Merit
