Reporting to the HMA Chief of Operations (CoO), the HMA Programme Manager (PM) will oversee
the implementation and coordination of HI’s Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) program in Ethiopia.
The PM will ensure the efficient execution of planned HMA projects, coordinating mine action teams
and activities, tracking progress indicators, and reporting on grant milestones. In addition to these
responsibilities, the PM will contribute to strategic development, stakeholder coordination, and
resource mobilization under the direction of the CoO.
MISSIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
About You
Education:
A master’s degree in international/social development, Humanitarian Affairs,
Project Management, or a related field.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in a managerial position, with the same degree of
experience in the humanitarian aid sector.
Proven experience in program management, including planning, budgeting,
monitoring, and evaluation.
Experience in working with international donors and managing donor-funded
projects.
Experience in the HMA sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills including MS Office, and experience in ArcGIS Pro and
Power BI is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
