Supplies:
Cotton yarn suitable for hook size 2,5 mm (color yellow and brown)
Thin cotton yarn for embroidery and crocheting the bees (I used Scheepjes Maxi sweet treat)
Hook size 2,5 mm and hook size 2 mm for the bees
Scissors and needle

Abbreviations (US)
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dec = decrease
inc = increase
Sl st = slip stitch
St = stitch
Sts = stitches
Rep = repeat

Notes:
The pattern consists of two separate made panels, a front and a back panel. After finishing
the panels, you make the embroidery decoration, door and bees on the front panel. Then
crochet the two panels together.

Pattern
Crochet in rows, ch1 after every row and turn.
R1: ch29 with yellow yarn, start in second ch from the hook: 28sc (28)

Door front panel:


Crochet in rows, ch1 after every row and turn.
R1: Ch7 with brown yarn, start in 2nd ch from the hook; 6sc (6)

Bees:
Make with thin black and yellow yarn and hook size 2 mm.
Crochet in rounds
R1: With yellow: 6sc in magic ring (6)
R2: (2sc, inc)2x (8)
R3: (1sc, inc)4x (12)
R4: 12sc (12)
R5: change to black; 12sc (12)
R6: 12sc (12)
R7: change to yellow; 12sc
R8: 12sc (12)
R9: change to black; 12sc, stuff
R10: (dec) 6x (6)
Fasten off, leaving a longer yarn tail to close.

Bee feelers (2):


R1: with black; ch6, start in 2nd from the hook, 2sc, 4sl st, fasten off.

Bee wings (2):


R1: ch7 with white yarn
R2: sl st in 2nd ch from the hook, dc, hdc, dc, (dc and hdc in next ch), (dc and sl st in last ch),
fasten off, leaving a yarn tail to sew the wings to the bees back.

Embroider little eyes on the bees with black yarn.

Assembling:
With brown yarn make sts horizontal over the front panel (see picture).
Embroider flowers and grass on the front panel with thin cotton yarn before crocheting the
two panels together.
Sew or glue the bees to the hive.
Crochet the two panels together with brown yarn using sc, make a hanging loop in the
middle of the top.
