Example : The seaweed variety is the main ingredients for popular Filipino salad called
“Ensaladang Lato”.

Seaweeds are categorized as a diet friendly food. It contains nutrients Vitamin A,
B1,B2 Vitamin E, Vitamin k, calcium and Folate
3. Garnish- The garnish of the salad adds color. It improves the form and enhances the
taste of salad. It must be edible, and may be as simple as a sprinkling of cheese crumbs,
seeds, nuts or spice.
4. Dressing - The dressing is a liquid or semi-liquid used to flavor, moisten, or
enrich the salad (palatability and appearance)
ELABORATE
The teacher will call or ask two students to be in front, then, they will be asked to
follow procedure that will be given by the teacher. The teacher will ask the students
in their chair constructively asses the performance of their classmate who are
demonstrating the process.
The Teacher will ask: Do you think a disabled person has the capacity to make
salads?
The students will classify the following ingredients according to the components of
a salad.

Salads are made of variety of different ingredients but when mixed up together, we
can create a dish with harmonious blend of taste. The preparation of salad teaches us
“unity in diversity”. Each of us are individuals with different characteristic and it is
important to recognize and celebrate each others’ differences. Be kind to yourself
and others.
Direction : Prepare a Filipino salad at home. Take a picture of your finished product
and put a caption citing the components of your salad before you send it to the group
