Chapter 1 General Information

1.1 Summarization

With fast development of cosmically building and applying of internet,

the widely applied of new technology and devices make the internet
more complex. In which condition, degree of resource’s cover and share
advances enormously and any tiny malfunction can lead to the failure in
application. How to discover and eliminate the latency hidden trouble in
season, how to manage network effectively, are the problem concerned
by the suppliers of network device and service. Network management
goods with perfect function and conveniently in use on the safe side is
cried for to enhance the network management ability and improve the
use efficiency of network.
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) network
management system which our company independently exploits is
suitable for all the devices which our company produces with network
management function. Such as: PDH multiplexer, E1 converters, data
across devices, fiber transceivers, PCM devices and so on. It supports
protocols like TCP/IP, RIP, etc. and can manage racks whose number
is unlimited (up to IP address amount user supply).
