Question 1: What is a: (i) Query (ii) Field (iii) Report

(i) Query: A query is a request for data or information from a database


table or combination of tables. This data may be generated as results
returned by Structured Query Language(SQL) or as pictorials, graphs
or complex results.

(ii) Field: A field is a single data item. It is a collection of many records.


Each field has a name and one key field called the primary key which
is used the record.

(iii) Report: A report is a database object that comes in handy when you
want to present the information in your database. Reports can be
created within database applications such as Access.

Question 2: Design a table for keeping records for all students in 300 level. The
records should include: (i) Names of students (ii) Gender (iii) Telephone
number (iv) Address (v) Matric no (vi) State of origin.
