ACTIVITY DESIGN

Event : Coastal Clean-Up


Date : November 29, 2023 (Wednesday)
Venue : Purok 8, Poblacion, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental

I. RATIONALE
Coastal clean-up is a need for MSSI students and faculty members to engage them in
removing trash and debris from beaches, waterways and other water bodies. This will help the
residents as well as the MSSI students and faculty members to identify and prevent the causes of
pollution and to raise awareness on the extent of marine problems.

II. OBJECTIVES
This activity aims to:
a. identify and prevent the causes of water pollution; and
b. raise awareness about marine pollution and contribute with it the reduction of garbage
and plastic in the ocean.
III. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
 This activity shall be held at Purok 8, Poblacion, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental.
The MSSI students, grades 4-12, together with their class advisers will go to the said
location at exactly 7:30 am, after flag ceremony.
 The venue for this activity will be divided into 5 areas. Each area shall have YES-O
member for the supervision of cleaning; DRRR member, to ensure the safety and medical
needs of the students or pupils in case of emergency; and ICT members, for the
documentation.
 After cleaning (estimated time: 10:00 AM), the students shall proceed to the school
campus for the continuation of classes. The class will resume at exactly 1:00 PM.
Details:
 What to wear: Jogging pants, white t-shirt, rubber shoes.
: Type A BSP/GSP (for B/GSP members only)
 What to bring: Water, Sack, Broomstick, Trash bags, and Gloves

Note: MSSI students must bring their school uniform to school.

Attached herewith are the assigned areas for cleaning.

VII. EVALUATION
Evaluation will be conducted on or after the aforesaid activity by Rev. Fr. Ronie B.
Orellianida, DCM and selected faculty and staff.

VIII. RECOMMENDATION
This proposal is subject for approval from the Principal/Director of the school. Thus, the
approval of the aforementioned activity is highly recommended.
