1. Form the pair of linear equations in the problem, and find it's solution
graphically.
10 students of class X took part in Mathematics quiz. If the number of girls is 4
more than the number of boys, find the number of boys and girls who took part
in the quiz.
2. Solve the given pair of linear equation by the elimination method and the
substitution method: 3x – 5y – 4 = 0 and 9x = 2y + 7
3. Is the pair of linear equation consistent/inconsistent? If consistent, obtain the
solution graphically: 2x + y - 6 = 0; 4x - 2y - 4 = 0
4. In an AP: a3 = 15, S10 = 125, find d and a10.

5. A chord of a circle of radius 15 cm subtends an angle of 60o at the center. Find


the areas of the corresponding minor and major segments of the circle. (Use π =
3.14 and

√3 = 1.73)
6. A gulab jamun, contains sugar syrup up to about 30% of its volume. Find
approximately how much syrup would be found in 45 gulab jamun, each shaped
like a cylinder with two hemispherical ends with length 5 cm and diameter 2.8
cm.

7. A solid is in the shape of a cone standing on a hemisphere with both their radii
being equal to 1 cm and the height of the cone is equal to its radius. Find the
volume of the solid in terms of π.
8. The following data gives the distribution of total monthly household expenditure
of 200 families of a village. Find the modal monthly expenditure of the families.

10. A railway half ticket costs half the full fare, but the reservation charges are
the same on a half ticket as on a full ticket. One reserved first class ticket
from the station A to B costs Rs. 2530. Also, one reserved first class ticket and
one reserved first class half ticket from A to B costs Rs. 3810. Find the full first
class fare from station A to B, and also the reservation charges for a ticket.
11. Find the roots of the quadratic equations by using the quadratic formula in
