Preface
This manual describes about the release note of CPU software for X-CONT2008X board of
MobileDaRt Evolution (MX8 Version).

The installation, operation, and maintenance should be of the equipment in


accordance with the instructions in this manual
• Safety can be achieved with an individual operator’s attention.
• While operating the equipment, ensure safety of operator and people around
one.
• Repair and inspection of the inside of the equipment is dangerous. A person
who has received proper training in Shimadzu performs them.

✓ Turn off the status indicator while the battery is charging
It is possible to turn off the status indicator while the battery is charging.

⚫ Correction of Problems
✓ Modification of malfunction to clear EEPROM data unintentionally
Modified the defect that EEPROM data was cleared unintentionally.
✓ Modification of malfunction to register invalid FVR
Modified the defect that invalid FVR was registered in the tube current two-point
adjustment mode.
✓ Modification of malfunction to detect error F04 unintentionally
Modified the defect that power relay error F04 was generated unintentionally.
✓ Modification of malfunction to detect error d62 unintentionally
Modified the defect that error d62 was generated unintentionally.
✓ Modification of defect that errors d20 and d21 occur
Modified the defect that the FET for motor of the motor drive circuit was damaged
and errors d20 and d21 occurred.
✓ Modification of malfunction to change the error log number
Modified the defect that the error log number was changed unintentionally when
updating the firmware.

passed since the battery charge started.

the battery.

Modified the defect that the d24/d25 errors are detected incorrectly in a very rare
case.

✓ Modification of Wire Rope Replacement Time Notification Function

Modified the defect that the U06 notification is displayed earlier than actual usage.

⚫ Details of Improvements
✓ Design Change of Error Code, Error Sound, and Indication Color of Status
Indicator
Changed the following designs for d2 and d4 to d11 errors caused by user’s
attention problem.
- Change of error codes of d2 and d4 to d11 to A2 and A4 to A11
- Chang of the error sound
- Change of the status indicator from red to purple

⚫ Correction of Problems

✓ Modification of Error Code Display (dXX) about System Moving

Modified the defect that when the wire breakage (d60) and other failures occur
simultaneously, the error code “d60” is not displayed.

✓ Modification of Error Log Display

Modified the defect that loading the error log data in different order happens during
the software update.

⚫ Details of Improvements

✓ Wire Rope Replacement Time Notification Function

Added the function to notify a time for replacement of wire rope based on the total
distance of arm travel. This function is available for the system having the arm travel
distance detection encoder.

✓ Correspondence to Grip Bar Height Change Option

Corresponded to the grip bar height change option.

✓ Temporary Suspension of Replacement Time

Enabled the temporary suspend of a replacement time for each parts in the parts
information display function, which is newly added to the change setting mode.

✓ Addition of Administrator

Enabled an administrator to use the keyless entry (option) in addition to the


password manager and general users.
The item below can be set only by the password manager for the system combined
with the keyless entry (option).
- Personal ID
The items below can be set only by the administrator and password manager for
the system combined with the keyless entry (option).
- APR (available for the system having CXDI or DR-ID800)
- Unlock FPD
- Time for silent mode
- Battery information
- Battery information for CPU backup
- Battery information for emergency brake release

✓ Addition and Change of Usage Information Setting Mode

Added the following usage information setting modes.


- Arm usage information setting mode
- Cord reel usage information setting mode
- FSR usage information setting mode
- Mechanical performance usage information setting mode
Changed the following usage information setting modes due to the
addition of the setting modes above.
- Battery usage information setting mode
- Motor usage information setting mode

✓ Sending of Operation Log, Error Log, and Setting Information

Added the function to send the operation log, error log, and setting information to
the digital radiography system control PC when the system has DR-200m.
This function is disabled if CXDI or DR-ID800 is equipped with the digital
radiography system.

⚫ Correction of Problems

✓ Modification of Startup Error

Modified the defect that when the system is powered ON or recovered from auto
power-off, the startup process fails occasionally, and the brake release and arm
lock release cannot work.

✓ Modification of Dose Area Product Calculation Unit Error

Modified the defect that when a dose area product calculation value is displayed after
the change and registration of ckV value in the dose area product calculation unit
setting mode, it always refers to the initial ckV value, not the changed one.

Update Procedure

2. Update Procedure

Required tools and Software


 PC equipped with Window 7 or later, and with RS-232C serial port. If RS-232C serial
port is not equipped, USB/RS232-C conversion cable should be separately prepared.
 Serial cable for RS-232C (9pin female - 9pin female, Cross type)
 Software SH-MUX300_VerXXX (XXX indicates the version number)

Preparation for the X-CONT2008X board

1. Turn off the power.


2. Remover the right inside cover and the right side cover.
3. Preparation for the version up S/W
 Turn off Main breaker NFB.
 Unplug the unit.
 Turn on Emergency switch.

4. Set the DIP switch SW4 on the X-CONT2008X board. Set only SW4-2 to ON side and set
other switch of SW4 to OFF side.

5. Connect the J4 connector of the X-CONT2008X and serial port of the PC with the serial
cable.

6. Connect power plug. The power is supplied to the system.

Update Procedure

Backup and install of Software

1. Make sure there are following files in MUX3DXXX folder.


 SoftUD.exe: Software update executable file.
 setup.ini: Software update setting file
 SH_MUX300_VerXXX.bin: Software file (XXX indicates the version number.

Be sure to terminate the serial communication software


(e.g. Tera-Term) before starting the setup program.
Otherwise, the backup process may fail.

2. Double-click the SoftUD.exe. The following screen is displayed.

3. Select the COM PORT of PC that is connected with the serial cable and click the BackUp

button.

4. Confirmation screen is displayed. To proceed with the S/W backup, click the OK button.

5. The backup is started, and then the status screen is displayed. After completing the backup,

screen of completion is displayed.

6. Return to the SoftUD screen in 2 and click the Install button.

7. Confirmation screen is displayed. To proceed with the S/W installation, click the OK button.

8. The install is started and then, the status screen is displayed. After completing the install,

screen of completion is displayed.

9. Return to the SoftUD screen in 2. Click the × button and the screen will be closed.

10. Set the current date and time.

Update Procedure

Operation Check
After the install or the recovery of S/W, confirm the operation of X-CONT2008X board.
Follow the opposite procedure in "2.2 Preparation for the X-CONT2008X board" to put the
system back to the original state, and then, turn the power ON. Enter the adjustment
mode according to the procedure below, and check the software version.
If the version of installed software does not correspond to the displayed version of
software in mAs display, try the installation or recovery again.

When the X-CONT2008X board is replaced in the installation or


recovery of the S/W, the new board must be initialized.
Reference: "8.2 Initialization of X-CONT2008X Board" in
Installation Manual.
After the initialization, ensure the X-CONT2008X board
operates correctly

1. Prepare the followings for operation check.


 Disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
 Turn ON the main breaker NFB.
 Release the emergency stop switch. (Set to OFF.)

2. Disconnect the serial cable between J4 connector on the X-CONT2008X board and the serial

port on PC.

3. Set DIP SW4 on the X-CONT2008X board. Return SW4-2 to OFF.

4. Turn ON the system and make sure the system starts normally.

5. Turn OFF the power.

6. Attach the right inside cover and the right side cover.

7. Turn ON the power.

8. Press and hold the user settings button for about 3 seconds to enter the change setting mode.

9. When the display of is changed to

(personal ID setting), press 7 on the numeric keypad and then the collimator lamp button within

3 seconds.

10. is displayed for about 1 second, and then is

displayed in the dose display.In this case, the current version of software is displayed in the

mAs display. By pressing the collimator lamp button, “8” indicating a software type is displayed

in mAs display.

11. Turn OFF then ON the power to restart the system.

Update Procedure

Recovery of Software
When restoring the S/W that was back up, execute the recovery.

Be sure to terminate the serial communication software


(e.g. Tera-Term) before starting the setup program.
Otherwise, the backup process may fail.

1. Double-click the SoftUD.exe. The following screen is displayed.

2. Select the COM PORT of PC that is connected with the serial cable and click the Recovery

button.

3. Confirmation screen is displayed. To proceed with the S/W recovery, click the OK button.

4. Following procedures is the same as install of S/W.
