Tribute to our Teachers

Chaplin father Michael Brown, specially invited guests, our principal Mr Dave
Myrie, Vice-principals Madam Quelum and Mr Brown , our guidance counselor,
teachers parents and my fellow student.
My task is to pay tribute to some incredible persons who have shaped our
academic Journey.
Today, I am deeply honored to represent on behalf of the 2024 fifth form student to
express our deepest gratitude to our teachers. Each one of you has contributed
immensely not just to our education but to our personal growth and well-being.
At Kingston College we are fortunate to have teachers who do much more than
teach they inspire and encourage us. You have believed in us, sometimes more
than we believed in ourselves. Their dedication goes beyond the classrooms
supporting as though challenges, celebrating our victories a constantly pushing as
towards excellence.
Our teachers have taught us more than academic lessons, they have instilled in us
the value of resilience, determination and compassion. The environment our
teachers have created is where student feels valued and motivated to strike for his
best.
To all teachers thank yea for your endless patience and for the countless hours you
spend preparing us for the future. Your impact on our lives is profound and
everlasting. We are not just better students because of you we are better gentlemen.
As we move forward into the next chapter of our lives, we will definitely carry the
lessons you've all imparted. Please know whatever achievement lie ahead of us
they are also your achievements. We are your legacy and we hope to make you all
proud.
I will close with the words of Nelson Mandela ‘‘Education is the most powerful
weapon which you can use to change the world’’. Thank you teachers for arming
us with that weapon and empowering us make a change in the world.
