In GW-Basic, when we boot our computer system, a prompt message “C:\>” appears on the monitor

High Level Computer language are easy to understand because these are very closed to human
understanding. High Level Computer languages include commands related to English Alphabets and
words like CLS (Clear Screen), Dir (Directory), Print etc. C# (sharp), C++, php are high level computer
language.

Q4. What do you know about lower level computer languages?


Lower level languages are not very easy to understand because it consists of machine codes and binary
language codes in the form of (010110011) etc. Sometimes PLC (Programmable Logical Control) are
examples of Lower Level Computer Languages.

Q5. What do you know about Compiler?


Compiler is a computer Software that can be used to translate high level computer language program
into machine language as a whole. Compiler also generates .exe (executable file) by converting source
files into object code.

Q6. What do you know about computer program?


Computer programs are codes and set of instructions those tell the computer system to work according
to the instruction. H/w S/W engineers write codes to get output from H/W components of system
according to the requirements

Q7. What do you know about IDE?


IDE stands for Integrated Development Environment. It provides a Graphical User Interface that
facilitates programmers to write programs, Debug it and to execute programs in different programming
languages.

Q8. What do you know about usage of web Forms?


A Form consists of Graphical interface that gives an attractive look to the users. Web Forms can be used
to enter data in database via using web-application, retrieve data, change, delete or update data, in the
database by using web forms or applications.

Q9. How online application is different from desktop application?


Desktop applications are those,. Which are installed on a computer can run on the particular system
only, no one can access these applications remotely while online applications are hosted on server and
can be accessed at any place and from any computer having network access . Example: Facebook,
YouTube, Email etc

Q10. Define free-ware?


Freeware is a type of software that is available free of cost for unlimited time period. Some examples of
freeware software are: Google chrome, VLC Media Player, Solidary. These programs are available free of
cost to all.

Q11. Define Web-Browser?


Web browser is a software package used to access locations on the world wide web (WWW), the part of
the global computer network called internet. Many browsers store user’s most frequently accessed sites
in files called cache’s memory in user’s Computer.

Q12. What is CTRL + ALT + DEL command?


CTRL + ALT + DEL command is used to reset the system. IT clears contents to start from initial to the
computer System.

Two kinds of Operating System Software are:

D.O.S was the 1st operating system developed by Microsoft Corporation. D.O.S is essential for a
computer to function, but we have to type commands in D.O.S

Windows Operating System is simple, Diagnostic and easy to maintain. Windows operating system
supports the latest graphics, Sound and multimedia technology.

Q2. What are the benefits of Windows Operating System?


Windows operating system makes our computer work better and faster. Windows Operating System is
easy and simple to use. It supports latest graphics, sound and multimedia technology. It can access
internet easily, so we can browse the websites and get information easily.

Q3. Explain M.S windows N.T Workstation.


Windows N.T is the most common & comprehensive and powerful desktop operating system for
business computing. Windows N.T workstation offers greater performance & makes windows easy to
use.

Q4. Explain the security of windows N.T. Workstation?


Windows N.T Workstation is secure & safe to use. It offers memory space separate for 16 bit
Operations.

Q5. What do you know about the x windows system?


X windows system develops the user graphics interface through its x-base technology. X-windows
