VSU-A holds a Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of ‘23 graduands

As part of the 49th commencement exercises activities, the Visayas State University Alangalang held a Baccalaureate Mass on July 26, 2023 morning, at VSU-A gymnasium. Onsite attendees were comprised of graduands from the College of Teacher Education, Arts and Sciences (CTEAS) and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). The baccalaureate mass was also graced by the university’s chancellor together with the faculty and staff. The liturgical ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. By: Marlo Cadano The Visayas State University Alangalang (VSU-A) returned to holding the annual Honors and Awards Convocation at VSU-A gymnasium, July 13, 2023. After three academic years of hiatus, the university’s crème de la crème gathered to receive accolades for their outstanding and excellent performances during the academic year. The university recognized 110 undergraduate honors in different categories depending on their General Point Averages (GPA) and consistency such as, President, University, Dean, and College Honors. The deserving individuals and organizations were also given special recognitions during the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by the university chancellor, Dr. Judith B. Jomadiao, who gave her welcome address during the ceremony. Sherwin Quino, the remarkable alumnus and the first topnotcher of the university, served as the inspirational speaker of the ceremony. Meanwhile, Mrs. Rowena Lacandazo, one of the alumna who received the highest disctinction of Magna Cum Laude, delivered her convocation speech. Dr. Lilibeth G. Miralles, the Director for Academic Affairs gave her closing remarks which she explained how the grades were obtained. She also challenged every student to persevere in their studies and envisioned to have as many honor students in the next academic year.
