4.3.3. Docking of liquid inlet and outlet ports on top of the chiller
According to the label of "liquid inlet" and "liquid outlet" on the top of the liquid cooler, connect
"liquid cooling main inlet pipe" and "liquid cooling main return pipe" respectively. "; "liquid inlet" is
connected to "liquid cooling main return pipe", "liquid outlet" is connected to "liquid cooling main
inlet pipe ".
1. Open the cover of the liquid filling port at the top of the liquid cooler, connect the pump hose to
the liquid filling port, and make sure all the manual valves are open.
2. Begin adding liquid to the liquid cooler. Observe the liquid level reaches the middle of "middle
liquid level" and "upper liquid level" to stop adding liquid; turn on the liquid-cooled machine to
run, circulate the coolant to the external pipeline, observe the liquid level drops, then turn off the
liquid cooler.
3. Continue to add liquid, observe that the liquid level reaches the middle of "middle liquid level" and
"upper liquid level" to stop adding liquid; turn on the liquid cooler to run, observe that the liquid
level drops, then turn off the liquid cooler to stop running.
4. Follow the above method to add liquid until the liquid level is stable in the "middle level" (or slightly
above the position), indicating that the amount of liquid added is appropriate, liquid filling is
complete, tighten the liquid filling port cover
Prior to lifting the whole container, the following conditions must be met:
When lifting the BESS container products, the following requirements must be met:
BESS Container product lifting information are illustrated below in Figure 4-1.
Note: Dashed line in the figure above indicates lifting operational perimeter. While lifting, personnel
standing within the zone indicated by the solid line is strictly prohibited!
• Select appropriate cranes to lift the BESS container, use appropriately rated spreader intended
for the designed load, with a design safety factor no less than 2.0.
• When lifting, the surface of the container should be protected from the rope contact point to
prevent damage to the surface paint.
• Lifting operation should be as smooth and uniform as possible to avoid impact and damage to
the electrical component and equipment inside the container.
• Lifting the BESS container must begin vertically, do not allow dragging along truck bed, ground,
or bottom containers. During the entire lifting operation, the maximum inclination angle must
not exceed 5°.
• The BESS container should be suspended after lifted for 300mm from start surface, then
checked for connection integrity between the spreader and container. Resume lifting
operational after connection security is cleared.
• The BESS container must be gently landed after arriving to target position. Swinging or
otherwise landing the container in any way other than vertically is strictly prohibited.
• The landing location for the BESS battery container must be solid and flat, well-drained, and
free from obstacles or protrusions; While on site, the BESS container should be supported only
from the four bottom corners.
• In accordance with local road and vehicle transportation regulations, the BESS container
external dimensions must not exceed standard container width. Any over-sized components
must be disassembled for transportation. All exposed holes on the outer walls must be
rainproofed, and all doors must be locked and secured.
• The BESS container must be reliably secured on the vehicle for long-distance transportation
safety. While in transit, the vehicle must be stable and steady, maintaining safe braking
distance, with max. speed not to exceed 70km/h. Maneuvers such as sudden braking, sharp
turns are strictly prohibited. The max. speed must not exceed 15km/h while passing speed
reduction strips, uneven road surface, or turning. All battery and equipment inside the
container must be protected from shock and vibrations.
• The transport carrier should reasonably plan the route based on origin and destination,
avoiding bumpy terrain, dangerous bridges, narrow roads, etc. While transporting the
oversized container, the logistics carrier must be properly informed to ensure safe and reliable
delivery.
• The carrier vessel should be equipped with fire extinguishers. In the event of a BESS container
fire event, the carrier should notify authorities in a timely manner, and if condition permits,
actively engage in extinguishing the fire to maintain personnel safety and minimize property
losses.
Note:
1. Select transport vehicle rated for standard 20-foot high-cube container, with load capacity of 32
metric tons.
2. The BESS container product is lifted by crane and placed on the chassis, then the four (4) bottom
corners of the container must be locked in place using the embedded swivel or locking
mechanism on the chassis before transportation.
★ The characteristics of the local climate and soil geological conditions (such as stress wave
emission, groundwater level) of the site where the BESS container product will be installed should be
fully investigated.
★ The surrounding environment is dry and well-ventilated, and safe from flammable and explosive
areas.
★ The foundation soil must meet compactness requirement. The relative compactness of the soil at
the recommended installation site ≥ 98%. If the soil is loose, ensure that the foundation is packed
and stable.
All structural steel components must be installed, welded securely. Vertical steel beams must be
topped with a 10mm steel plate, with the container resting above the 10mm steel plates. Foundation
construction must ensure that the installed container is supported in a balanced manner and will not
cause deformation on the container.
Four welding positions are reserved on the four corners of the BESS container. L-shaped metal
footing parts are welded to the battery component body. The L-shaped metal footing parts are
shipped with the BESS container, and foundation connection is secured with M12 expansion bolts.
