8.4. System Maintenance
8.4.1. Maintenance Precautions
• To carry out system maintenance and repair safely and effectively, maintenance personnel
must be professionally trained and qualified before taking up their jobs. When performing
maintenance and repair work, staff must comply with the relevant safety precautions and use
the necessary tools and protective equipment.
• Do not wear metal jewelry such as gold or silver jewelry and watches when operating and
maintaining the system.
• Use only insulated tools, wear 1500Vdc rated insulated gloves and shoes for maintenance.
• Clean up tools and materials after maintenance work, and do not put metal objects inside or
on top of the equipment.
• To connect and disconnect system cables, disconnect all high and low voltage switches.
• System operators and maintenance personnel have any questions about the operation and
maintenance of the equipment, please contact the manufacturer for advice, do not operate
without authorization.

8.4.2. Equipment Maintenance

• Ambient temperature: where condition allows, maintain the site ambient temperature
between 20 ~ 40 ℃.
• When the battery system is not used for a long time, it should be recharged fully every 3
months to bring the SOC to >80%.
• Regular dust removal: Clean the system regularly, especially pay attention to cleaning the fan
inlet and outlet and use a vacuum cleaner to clean up when necessary to ensure that the air
can circulate freely in the cabinet. Power must be cut off before dust removal; water flushing
is strictly prohibited.
• Regularly check whether the cable connection terminal is loose, whether the terminal
surface is seriously rusted or oxidized, and whether the contact is good.
• Regularly check whether the cable is aging and broken, and whether the insulation is good.
• Regularly check whether the indicator is intact and functioning properly.

8.4.3. System Function Maintenance

• SOC calibration: The battery management system uses SOC to indicate the remaining
capacity of the battery, the SOC value is estimated by the management system through
mathematical models based on current, time and other parameters, because the battery
capacity is related to many factors, so the SOC value has a certain error, if the SOC value
error is found during operation, the battery system needs to be re-charged and calibrated.
• Occasional system testing: Occasional visits to the site for comprehensive testing of the
battery system to determine whether the system functions properly and whether the battery
status is normal.
• System upgrade: If you find that the battery power supply time is greatly shortened or the
system frequently fails, please contact the manufacturer in time and ask the manufacturer's
professional staff to diagnose and maintain the system.
