Problem Statement
In today's competitive job market, the process of resume
evaluation and shortlisting candidates is often time-
consuming and subjective. Recruiters receive an
overwhelming number of applications for each job posting,
making it challenging to manually assess every resume
thoroughly. This leads to inefficiencies in the hiring process,
potential oversight of qualified candidates, and human bias
in resume evaluation.

To address these challenges, we developed a Resume


Analyzer tool as part of our final year capstone project. The
tool aims to automate the process of resume screening by
leveraging natural language processing (NLP) and machine
learning algorithms. It evaluates resumes based on specific
job criteria, highlighting key qualifications, skills, and
experiences that match job descriptions. By providing a
more objective and efficient approach to resume analysis,
the tool enhances the recruitment process for both hiring
managers and job seekers.

The goal of the Resume Analyzer is to streamline the initial


stages of recruitment, reduce human bias, and ensure a
fairer and more efficient evaluation of candidates.
Project Description

A Resume parsing tool that converts an unstructured form


of resume data into a structured format.

1. The main objective of this tool is to analyze the


applicant’s resume using the resume parser technique
and some Algorithms.
2. It Can be Used by any Organization (Company, College,
Individual User) that handles the resume screening
process.
3. The tool keeps track of all records in the database for
further admin-side analysis.
4. Provides Tips and Recommendations based on their
resume.

This project falls under the domain of Human Resources
Technology (HRTech) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Specifically, it involves Natural Language Processing (NLP),
Machine Learning (ML), and Automation within the
recruitment and talent acquisition process. It also touches
on Data Analytics as it processes and evaluates resumes
based on various criteria.
