Examination Rules
1.) No late arrivals will be allowed into the examination venue 30
MINUTES after the start of the session.
2.) If you arrive during the reading time you will miss your reading time and
will only be admitted into the venue once the paper has started.
3.) You are allowed 10 MINUTES reading time of the question paper
before the commencement of the session, during which time NO
WRITING of any kind may take place.
6.) All cell phones must be switched off and handed in for the duration of
the examination.
7.) All digital watches to be handed in.
8.) Candidates must not have digital translators in their possession.
9.) Candidates may have a scientific pocket calculator: silent, operational
and non-programmable.
10.) *If you are found with your cell phone or it buzzes or rings during the
examination, an irregularity will be declared and render yourself liable
to suspension from current and future examinations*
11.) Unless stipulated for the examination, you may not have a script,
memorandum, notes, maps, photos or other documents or papers
(including unused paper) or other material which may be of help to you
in the examination other than that provided to you by the invigilator.
The excuse that you had forgotten that you had it in your possession
will not be accepted.
13.) You will not be allowed to leave the examination room within the FIRST
HOUR from the start of the examination session and during the last 15
MINUTES of the examination period. In an emergency a student will be
allowed out under strict supervision. Where educators are alone in a
venue, a learner will only be allowed to go if an educator is available.
14.) Learners must carefully read and comply with all instructions on the
examination paper.

15.) You are not allowed to assist another student or try to assist him/her to
assist him/her to get help or communicate with anybody other than the
invigilators. As this will be regarded as cheating and will be dealt with
accordingly by the Academic Committee.
17.) To attract the attention of the invigilator you must raise your hand and
remain seated.
18.) You may not create a disturbance in the examination room or behave
in an unseemly or improper manner.
20.) School rules about dress code and behaviour apply during the
examination period.
21.) NO eating in the exam venue. Only a clear water bottle is allowed.
22.) You will only be issued with an extra booklet/paper once the first is fully
utilized.
23.) All aids and answer scripts and question papers must be handed in
before you leave the examination venue.
24.) You may not tear out, cut or damage any pages of your answer script
for any reason.
25.) No answer script or part of an answer script will be accepted for any
reason once you have left the examination room, and the examination
has ended.
27.) If you do not obey these instructions, you render yourself liable to
suspension from current and future examinations.
