READING COMPREHENSION ASSIGNMENT

Read the extract below and answer the questions that follow.
The Adventures of Molly
Molly was an adventurous girl, always on the lookout for something
exciting to do. One sunny afternoon, she decided to explore the forest
near her home, a place filled with tall trees, colourful flowers, and chirping
birds. Molly had heard stories about a hidden waterfall deep in the forest,
and she was determined to find it.

As she walked, the path became narrower, and the sound of rustling
leaves echoed in the air. The forest grew denser, but Molly didn’t feel
scared. Instead, she felt more determined than ever. After what felt like
hours of walking, she heard the faint sound of water flowing. With her
heart racing, she pushed through the thick bushes and finally saw it—the
hidden waterfall.

It was more beautiful than she had imagined. The crystal-clear water
cascaded down the rocks, creating a soothing melody as it hit the pool
below. Sunlight filtered through the trees, making the water sparkle like
diamonds. Molly sat by the water, feeling proud of her discovery. She
spent the rest of the afternoon sitting there, listening to the peaceful
sound of the waterfall.

As the sun began to set, Molly knew it was time to head back. With one
last look at the waterfall, she started her journey home, eager to tell her
family about her adventure.
