Factual Dispute Letter
In the attached copy of my credit report I have clearly highlighted and pointed out
inaccurate reporting on the following account:
ACCOUNT DETAILS
I am not an expert, but the FCRA does clearly state that my credit report needs to
be 100% accurate and consistent. As of right now, it is neither accurate, or
consistent.
This request is not being made in error and I will be contacting both of the other
bureaus that are also in violation of reporting this account inaccurately.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Phone script you can use when calling the bureaus once you know
your disputes have been received.
You know, there are some laws that say you have to treat
consumers fairly, and that means you have to delete the info related
to the identity theft that I pointed out.
I got to be honest with you – if you guys keep reporting that false
information, it's messing up the whole banking system. Do you
really want to be responsible for that? You have an obligation to
meet my needs and treat me fairly throughout this whole process.
So, it's your duty to make sure the info you have on me is accurate
and relevant.
Honestly, seeing this stuff still on my record, it's like you're not using
my info the right way. That's not cool.
I know it might be hard dealing with this, but if you hit a roadblock,
just hang up and try someone else who can help you out.
