woman, their high personality and their pure minds.

Part 2
A few years ago, when I was about 16 years old, I went on a backpacking trip with
a group of friends to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. We spent a day hiking
through the cave, camping and exploring the stunning natural beauty. The journey
was physically demanding, but the rewards were well worth it.
I remember this journey fondly because of the friendship and shared experiences
with my friends. We faced challenges together, such as navigating difficult terrain
and dealing with unexpected weather conditions. These experiences helped to
strengthen our bonds and create lasting memories. The breathtaking scenery of
Phong Nha – Ke Bang also made this trip unforgettable.
Part 3
Do you think it’s true that travel broadens the mind?
Yes, of course. Traveling allows us to experience different ways of
life, values, and beliefs. This exposure can challenge our own
assumptions and help us develop a more nuanced understanding
of the world. Traveling can also provide opportunities for personal
growth, self-discovery, and learning. When we interact with
people from different backgrounds, we can learn to appreciate
their experiences and perspectives.
How have holidays changed over the past few decades?
Part 2
With the rapid development of technology, a multitude of video games have been
created with various genres and different levels of attraction, becoming one of the
top entertainments in free time. I am also a big fan of video games, I typically
spend 3-4 hours per week but on holidays, I play almost every day. The
convenience of gaming is undeniable; players can immerse themselves in virtual
worlds from the comfort of their own homes. Moreover, gaming offers a social
aspect, allowing individuals to connect with like-minded peers and relieve stress
after a long tiring day. While some may think that playing games is pointless, but
personally, I firmly believe that it can serve as a valuable tool for cognitive
development, fostering creativity and facilitating social interactions. These benefits
contribute to my enduring enthusiasm for gaming."

1. Is leisure time important to everyone? Why?
Absolutely! Everyone needs some time to relax, no matter who they are or what
they do. They offer a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle. Whether it's
painting, gardening, or playing a musical instrument, hobbies are like mini-
vacations for our brains. They help us relax, recharge, and get creative.
2. Do women have more leisure time than men?
I haven't bought any new electronic devices lately. I'm still using the same laptop
and smartphone that I've had for the past few years. I'm generally happy with them
and don't feel the need to upgrade.
I use both computers and cell phones, but I probably use my cell phone more often.
It's just more convenient to have it with me all the time. I use my cell phone for
everything from checking email and browsing the web to taking photos and
listening to music.
I spend a lot of time on the Internet. I'm usually online for several hours a day. I
use the Internet for work, for entertainment, and for staying connected with
friends and family.
When I'm on the Internet, I usually do a variety of things. I might check my email,
browse the news, watch videos, or listen to music. I also like to use social media
and chat with friends online.
Part 2
Describe a piece of technology that you find useful.
Part 3
Do you believe that people today rely too much on technology?
Do you enjoy sharing personal information and photos on social media? Why? /
Why not?
What do you think are the trends in technology today compared to when you were
young?
Technology has changed a lot since I was a child. In the past, computers were not
very common, and there was no internet. Today, almost everyone has a
smartphone and is always connected to the internet. I think the most important
technological trend of our time is the rapid growth of artificial intelligence. AI is
becoming more and more advanced and is being used in many different areas, from
self-driving cars to medical diagnosis.
I do like listening to music. I find it to be a great way to relax and unwind. I also
enjoy listening to music while I am working or studying, as it can help me to focus
and concentrate.
I listen to a variety of music genres, but pop with its energetic beats is my absolute
favorite. Currently, I’m into Rosé's new song 'APT' collaboration with Bruno Mars.
The quick tempo and infectious chorus are everything I love about pop music. But
sometimes, o switch things up, I also enjoy listening to jazz or classical music.
How much time do you spend listening to music every day?
It depends on my daily schedule. On days when I have a lot of homework or work
to do, I usually don't listen to music so I can concentrate as much as possible. On
the other hand, on days when I'm free or in a good mood, I can spend the whole
day immersing myself in music.
Do you play any kinds of musical instruments? What are they?
Well, it’s a pity that I didn’t. I’ve always wished I’d taken up a musical instrument.
I’d love to be able to play the guitar but I think I have no potential to play it. I’m a
bit tone deaf so perhaps I’d find it hard to put my idea in practice.
Part 2
One of the most memorable concerts I have attended was a performance by the
iconic rock band Guns N' Roses. The concert took place at the Coachella Valley
Music and Arts Festival a few years ago. I went with a group of friends who were
just as excited as I was to see one of our favorite bands live.
The energy at the festival was palpable. The crowd was massive, and everyone
was eager to see the headliners. As Guns N' Roses took the stage, the crowd
erupted into cheers and applause. Axl Rose, with his powerful voice and
charismatic stage presence, commanded the attention of the entire audience. The
band played a mix of their classic hits and newer material, and the crowd sang
along to every word.
The atmosphere was electric, with the music pulsating through the air and the
crowd jumping and dancing. The band's musicianship was perfect, and their energy
Part 3
Why are many music competitions popular in Vietnam?
Vietnamese people take great pride in their country's cultural achievements,
including music. Music competitions serve as a platform to showcase Vietnamese
talent to the world and foster a sense of national pride. Participating in music
competitions can also be beneficial for young musicians' development. It helps
them improve their skills, gain experience, and learn from professional judges and
mentors.
What kind of music do people like at different ages?
I think old people love the feeling of nostalgia, which means that they tend to
listen back to old songs that bring them good memories. Meanwhile, youngsters
are subjected to the people surrounding them. They may turn to love a song simply
because people around them listen to that song. The fear of being left behind
makes them constantly update to new trendy songs.
However, it doesn’t mean that people in a certain age group listen to a particular
genre of music. The ultimate aim of music is to touch people’s hearts regardless of
their age, sex, or race.
Do parents in your country require their children to learn and to play musical
instruments?
Music plays a pivotal role in Vietnamese culture, permeating various aspects of
daily life. From traditional folk songs to contemporary pop hits, music serves as a
source of entertainment, expression, and social cohesion. Vietnamese parents often
recognize the cultural significance of music and actively encourage their children
to learn and play musical instruments. This emphasis on music education is rooted
in the belief that it fosters not only artistic skills but also essential qualities such as
discipline, creativity, and intellectual development.
Why do some people like to listen to live music while others prefer CDs?
Well, it is true that with the development of technology nowadays, the quality of
records is undeniably impressive. Meanwhile, some singers are not good at doing
live singing, which explains why a group of people get a kick out of staying at

One of the most important lessons I have learned in my life is the value of true
friendship. I learned this lesson during my university years when I formed a close
bond with a group of friends. We were all from different backgrounds and had
different personalities, but we shared a common passion for learning and exploring
new things. We spent countless hours together studying, attending lectures, and
socializing. We supported each other through difficult times and celebrated each
other's successes. We were always there for each other, no matter what. Through
my experiences with this group of friends, I learned that true friendship is based
on mutual respect, trust, and support. It is a relationship that enriches your life in
countless ways. I am grateful for the friendships I have formed over the years, and
I know that they will continue to be an important part of my life.
Part 3
Do you agree that we learn best from our mistakes?
