A rainbow is a colourful are that appears in the sky after it rains. It
39. happens wnen
sunlight shines through water droplets in the air. A rainbow is an excellent demonstration
of light dispersion and further proof that visible light is made up of
spectrum of
wavelengths, each associated with a distinct colour. Each droplet of water acts as tiny
prism, dispersing light and reflecting it back to an observer's eye.
