IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

01. All candidates are required to carefully read the Instructions given in the Admit Card and strictly adhere to them.
02. Before reaching the Centre, the candidates must paste the Photograph (same as uploaded during filling up of application) at
the appropriate place of Admit Card. Signature on the Admit Card shall be done by the candidate in the presence of invigilator in
the Examination Room/Hall.
03. The total duration of Preliminary Screening Test (OMR based, Phase-I) is 90 minutes. The Medium of Question paper shall
be in English language only.
04. No candidate shall be permitted to enter the Examination Centre after the Gate Closing Time.
05. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Room/ Hall before the end of the examination.
06. On completion of the Phase-I examination, candidates shall remain in their respective rooms and are not allowed to leave the
Venue. They shall wait for the instructions from Invigilators and shall not leave their seat unless advised.
07. No Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre without his/her Admit Card and valid Original Photo ID
Proof (i.e. Voter Identity Card, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, etc).
08. Admission to the Preliminary Screening Test is purely provisional, subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions as given in
the Advertisement. If at any stage subsequent to issuance of this Admit Card, the candidate is found to be ineligible for admission
to the test, his candidature shall be cancelled without any further reference to him/her.
09. A candidate furnishing incorrect or false particulars or suppressing material information, shall be disqualified and if
appointed, shall be liable for dismissal from service.
10. Candidates are suggested to locate the examination venue, a day in advance so that they do not face any problem on the day
of examination. Late comers shall not be allowed under any circumstances.
11. Candidates are advised to carry only the following items with them into the examination venue:
- Admit Card (With clear colour printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- Original Photo ID card
- Black Ball Point Pen
12. Candidates are NOT allowed to carry any personal belongings including electronic devices, mobile phone, bags, scarves,
cap,jacket , blank paper, wallets or digital watch and other banned/ prohibited items. Examination Centre Officials will not be

responsible for safe custody of personal belongings and there will be no such facility.
13. . Use of calculator, pager, smart-watch, Bluetooth or any other electronic gadgets including mobile phone for communication
and books or any other material inside the examination Centre/Hall is strictly prohibited within the premises of the examination
centre, violation of which by the candidate will attract penal action against him/her.
14. Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are NOT permitted.
15. No candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any malpractices. The examination centers are under strict
surveillance and police security. Any sort of malpractice shall be severely dealt with by the concerned authority.
16. Candidates are advised to check for updates in the website regularly. They should also check their mailbox on the registered
E- mail address and SMS in their registered Mobile No. for updates and information.
17. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN EXAMINATION DATE/ SESSION/ CENTRE/ VENUE WILL BE CONSIDERED
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
18. Anyone found to be disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of
examination contents in any form or any information therein in whole or part thereof or by any means i.e., verbal or
written,electronic or mechanical or taking away the papers supplied in the examination Centre or found to be in unauthorized
possession of examination content will be considered as serious misconduct and will be debarred/ disqualified from selection
process. Such cases will be reported to police immediately and legal action be taken, if necessary, by the concerned authority or
official as per rules.
19. Candidates should check the particulars i.e., Name, Date of Birth, Category etc., mentioned in Admit Card carefully and also
eligibility in all respects as per advertisement.
20. Candidates’ responses (answers) will be analyzed with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong
answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted in this regard, it is inferred /concluded that the responses have been shared and
scores obtained are not genuine/valid, candidature of the concerned candidate(s) may be cancelled and/or the result may be
withheld.
21. The candidate must not write his/her name, roll no, etc anywhere in the Answer/OMR sheet other than the space provided for
the purpose failing which his/her candidature may be cancelled. The OMR sheet will not be replaced under any circumstances.
22. The candidate belongs to category of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) must bring their PwD certificate issued by the
Competent Authority, if claiming relaxation under PwD category. Candidates willing to avail services of scribe are requested to
download the formats (Annexure-II & III) published with the Employment Notification in Courts website regarding SCRIBE for
this purpose and send the said formats duly filled in by them at least 10 days before the date of examination to Helpdesk email-ID.
23. The candidate belongs to Exempted Category (EC) or Ex-servicemen Category sponsored by the concerned authority, are
provisionally allowed to appear in the examination subject to verification of their documents and the candidates belongs to said
categories must bring this Admit Card along with their application form and all relevant documents in original in support of their
candidature with a set of photocopies thereof including two (2) recent coloured passport size photographs on the date of
examination.
24. The candidate belongs to Exempted Category (EC) or Ex-servicemen Category sponsored by the concerned authority,
must ensure that he/she fulfill all the conditions of eligibility laid down in the Employment Notification published in
Court’s website- www.calcuttahighcourt.gov.in. If at any stage, it is found thatsuch candidate does not fulfill any of the
conditions of eligibility, his/her candidature will be cancelled and no appeal against such cancellation will be entertained.
Their admission to the test is provisional and it does not confer any right on them to be treated as eligible in all aspects for
appointment.
25. Candidate must ensure that he/she has completed Biometric Verification before leaving the Examination Centre..
26. This Admit Card DOES NOT guarantee selection in any way. It is only permission to appear for the written examination.
27. BEFORE LEAVING THE EXAMINATION HALL, CANDIDATES MUST DEPOSIT ORIGINAL OMR ANSWER
SHEET TO THE INVIGILATOR AND ENSURE THAT HE/SHE HAS SIGNED THE ATTENDANCE SHEET
FAILING WHICH HIS/HER CANDIDATURE WILL BE CANCELLED.
28. No Travelling Allowance will be borne by the Office for this purpose.
29. CANDIDATE MUST PRESERVE THE ADMIT CARD WITH HOLOGRAM CAREFULLY HE/ SHE WILL BE
REQUIRED TO PRESENT THE SAME FOR PHASE-2 AND PHASE-3 OF RECRUITMENT EXAM
