BABY MOUSE

Knitting pattern. Knit the head, body spirally on 3 needles, the 4th one is the
working one.
Knit legs, tail and ears on 2 needles.
Size: about 6 cm.
Needles: a set of 2mm double pointed (sock).
Yarn: 200m/50g.
For the design of the muzzle: floss.
For the basket: a set of 4mm double pointed (sock), yarn 170m/100g Lana
Grace Medio.

HEAD.
Start knitting the head from the nose. Cast on 6 stitches and arrange them on 3
needles.

Row 2 inc) (k1,kfb)*3 times = 9sts Mark the beginning of the row.

Row 4 inc) (k2,kfb)*3 times = 12sts
Row 5 12sts
Row 6 inc) kfb, k2, kfb*twice, k2, kfb, k4 = 16sts
Row 7 inc) k3, kfb, k1, kfb*twice, k1, kfb, k3, kfb, k2, kfb = 22sts
Row 8 22sts
Row 9 inc) (kfb,k2)*5 times, kfb, k6 = 28sts
Rows 10-18 st st = 28sts
Row 19 dec) (k3,k2tog)*twice, k2, (k2tog,k3)*twice, k6 = 24sts
Row 20 dec) (k2,k2tog)*6 times = 18sts
Row 21 dec) (k1,k2tog)*6 times = 12sts
Row 22 dec) k2tog*6 times = 6sts
Stuff the detail before closing sts. Cut yarn, thread end through 6sts, pull up to
close and secure. (Fig. 1)

EARS.
Cast on 6sts.
Row 1-5 st st beginning with a p row = 6sts
Row 6 dec) skpo, k2, k2tog = 4sts
Cast of 4sts. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail to join the details, fasten off and bring
the yarn end down along the ear, connect the sides of the ear at the base. Make

BODY.
Start knitting the neck from the top down to the bottom. Cast on 9sts and
arrange them on 3
needles.
Row 1 k9
Row 2 inc) (k2,kfb)*3 times = 12sts
Row 3 inc) (kfb,k1)*twice, M1, (k1,kfb)*twice, k4 = 17sts Mark the beginning
of the row.
Rows 4-7 st st = 17sts
Row 8 inc) k5, kfb, k1, kfb, k5, kfb*4 times = 23sts (Work 4 increases (kfb*4
times) to shape the belly)
Row 9 23sts
Row 10 inc) k6, kfb, k1, kfb, k14 = 25sts
Row 11 25sts
Row 12 inc) k7, kfb, k1, kfb, k15 = 27sts
Rows 13-15 st st = 27sts
Row 16 dec) k7, skpo, k1, k2tog, k7, skpo, k4, k2tog = 23sts
Row 17 dec) k3, skpo, k2, k3tog, k2, k2tog, k3, skpo, k2, k2tog = 17sts
Row 18 dec) (k1, k2tog)*4 times, k2tog*twice, k1 = 11sts
Row 19 dec) k2tog, k1, k3tog, k1, k2tog*twice = 5sts
Cut yarn, thread end through 5sts, pull up to close and secure. There is a hole
left at the top (neck), stuff through this hole. Stitch it up after. (fig. 3) Fig. 3

TAIL
Cast on 3 sts and work 18 rows i-cord across 3 sts. Bind off using triple
decrease. Cut yarn leaving a tail of about 7 cm (to thread a needle), secure the
thread and hide the end yarn inside the tail. (fig. 4)

FORELEGS.
Cast on 3 sts and work 8 rows i-cord across 3 sts .
Rows 1-5 primary color yarn. Cut the thread and attach the pink yarn.
Rows 6-8 pink yarn. Bind off the same way as the

LEGS.
Cast on 4sts and work 6 rows i-cord across 4 sts .
Rows 1-3 primary color yarn. Cut the thread and attach the pink yarn.
Rows 4-5 pink yarn.
Row 6 skpo, k2tog. 2 st are left – put the right loop on the left. Pull the left
loop and cut the thread. Weave in the same way as for the tail. (fig. 6)

Cast on 6 stitches and arrange them on 3 needles.
Row1 k6
Row 2 inc) kfb *6 times = 12sts
Row 3 inc) (k1,kfb) *6 times = 18sts
Row 4 inc) (k2,kfb) *6 times = 24sts
Row 5 inc) (k3,kfb) *6 times = 30sts
Row 6 inc) (k4,kfb) *6 times = 36sts
Row 7 inc) (k5,kfb) *6 times = 42sts You can make a larger diameter bottom
by increasing in the same points.
Rows 8-16 k42 You can make the basket borders higher too working more
rounds.
Rows 17-19 Work in rib stitch 1*1(k1, p1). Cast off all 42sts. Ribbing here is
more like a decorative element, you can adjust its width at your discretion or
not knit it at all.
