INTRODUCTION OF MACHINE
LEARNING:
What is Machine Learning?

Definition: Machine Learning is a subset of Artificial Intelligence

(AI) that enables systems to learn and improve from data without
being explicitly programmed.

Key Idea: Algorithms identify patterns in data and make

predictions or decisions.
Example: Predicting house prices, image recognition.

Why is Machine Learning

Important?

Automation: Reduces manual effort.

Accuracy: Processes large volumes of data efficiently.

Adaptability: Learns from new data to improve performance.

Applications: Healthcare, finance, retail, autonomous systems.

: Types of Machine Learning

1. Supervised Learning

Description: Learns from labeled data.

Examples: Regression, classification.

Use Case: Spam email detection.

2.Unsupervised Learning

Description: Identifies patterns in unlabeled data.

Examples: Clustering, dimensionality reduction.

Use Case: Customer segmentation.

3.Reinforcement Learning

Description: Learns by interacting with an environment and

receiving feedback (rewards or penalties).

Use Case: Robotics, game AI.

:
How Does Machine Learning Work?

1. Data Collection

2. Data Preparation

Cleaning and formatting.

3. Choosing a Model

Examples: Linear regression, neural networks.

4. Training
Feeding data to the algorithm.

5. Evaluation

Assessing model performance.

6. Deployment

Using the model in real-world applications.
