Job Description

Job Title: Design engineer


Business Unit &
Engineering
Department:
Direct Line Report: Vishal Walekar
Grade/Rank: Asst Manager - Design
Job Purpose: Design and engineering of welded heat exchangers.

To execute Post – Order Engineering Activities:

Perform Detail Design calculations, Prepare GA and detail dwg’s,


Release Bill of Material in SAP and purchase order specifications.
Key Tasks & Prepare Documents for Manufacturing / Procurement.
Responsibilities
Interact with Internal Departments, Order Management, Production,
purchase and Quality to meet project delivery date.

1. Review Order related Input Documents from Sales and process for
Design and Engineering.
2. Coordination for Drawing Approval by Customer/Consultant.
Resolution of Technical Queries.
3. Mechanical Calculations for required process conditions.
Company Specific Tasks
4. Release of Execution Drawings / Documents to Planning,
& Responsibilities
Production, Quality, Procurement, with Engineering Support as
required.
5. Coordinate with AI for Design Review as required.
6. As Built Drawings / Documentation.

1. Sound knowledge of Heat Exchangers / Pressure Vessels, Finned


Coolers: Design / Engineering – Thermal & Mechanical Calculations,
Estimation / Costing, Preparation of Fabrication / Manufacturing
Competencies Drawings, Knowledge of Codes such as ASME, TEMA etc.
