Use the three-step graphical procedure to find the optimum, as


required, assuming x  0 and y  0:
1. Subject to
4x + 3y  24
x + 2y  11.

Find max if:


(a)  = x + y.
(b)  = x + 3y.
(c)  = 3x + y.
(d)  = 2x + 1.5y.

Solution: For 4x + 3y  24, we get
