Activity 1: Adapting an Instructional Material (Individual)


With the competency “to demonstrate proficiency in oral communication skills among Grade 7 students…,” adapt an
instructional material/activity from any source appropriate to this level of students. The table below serves as your
guide.

Activity 2: Designing Learning Materials (5 Groups)

A. Get a copy of the English Curriculum Guide (CG) for Grades 7-10 and scan the different competencies
along the domain Vocabulary Development (VC) You may access the curriculum guide in
https://www.deped.gov.ph/wp- content/uploads/2019/01/English-CG.pdf

B. Choose one (1) competency under VC for each year level (7-10). Take note as well of the competency
targets on receptive or productive vocabulary knowledge as these are important information in choosing
the learning materials/s (LM).
C. Select what material to use to facilitate mastery of the competency.

D. Design your own print-based or computer-based learning materials. You may refer to the website and links
suggested above to start with.

E. Produce at least four (4) materials for all grade levels (7-10)

Activity 3. Fill it in (5 Groups)


Complete the below by identifying materials that you can utilize in teaching the given competencies. These
competencies are taken from the Curriculum Guide for English Grade 7 under domain Grammar Awareness. An
example has also been given as your guide.
